Nicolson will make her MVP event debut on MVPW-06 at bp pulse LIVE on Saturday, August 29 in Birmingham, England. She will defend her WBC super bantamweight world title in a 10-round defense at 122lbs against Japan’s two-division champion Miyo Yoshida (19-5, 1 KOs).

Nicolson joins MVP’s global roster of elite athletes while also becoming the first athlete to compete as part of MVP’s and Matchroom’s landmark strategic alliance. Nicolson joins a decorated roster of fellow Australian signees at MVP including Australia’s first-ever undisputed champion in the four belt era, male or female, Cherneka Johnson, unified unified IBF and WBO middleweight world champion Desley Robinson, and former IBF bantamweight world champion Ebanie Bridges.

Skye Nicolson was born and raised in Queensland, Australia to an English mother and Scottish father. She began boxing at age 12, following in the footsteps of her late brother. Her stellar amateur career saw over 150 fights around the world including a Commonwealth Games gold medal, bronze at the amateur world championships, and representing Team Australia in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, where she finished as a quarter-finalist. Off the back of the Olympics, she signed a long-term promotional deal with Matchroom and began a very active professional career that skyrocketed her to her first world title in just her 10th professional fight, defeating Sarah Mahfoud for the WBC featherweight title in 2024. Now 16-1 as a professional, Nicolson most recently rose to Interim champion and mandatory challenger for the WBC 122lbs title. Shortly after, the belt was vacated by former undisputed champion Ellie Scotney, and Nicolson was elevated to become a two-time, two-division WBC world champion in May 2026. Miyo Yoshida is a three-time, two-division world champion from Kagoshima, Japan. A former IBF bantamweight world champion and two-time WBO junior bantamweight world champion, Yoshida has established herself as one of Japan’s most accomplished female fighters. She made history as one of only a handful of Japanese women to win world titles in multiple weight classes and has earned recognition for her technical skill, resilience, and championship pedigree. Known as the “Fighting Single Mother” in Japan, Yoshida is a former The Ring Most Inspirational Female Fighter award recipient and a revered role model both inside and outside the ring. After relocating to the United States, she now trains at the legendary Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn, New York. Yoshida most recently earned a victory over Edith de Jesus Flores in April 2026, following a unanimous decision win over Beata Dudek in February 2025. She captured the IBF bantamweight world title with a dominant unanimous decision over Ebanie Bridges in December 2023 after accepting the fight on less than two weeks’ notice.

Yesterday, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced that the USA’s and San Antonio, Texas top contender Reina Tellez (13-1-1, 5 KOs) will return to the ring to face Coventry, UK’s Jessica Barry (10-1, 2 KOs) in the latest addition to the MVPW-06 UK vs. USA main card on Saturday, August 29 at bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham, England, live on Sky Sports in the UK and ESPN+ in the US. The bout marks Tellez’s first return to the ring after going the distance with unified world champion Amanda Serrano in January, as Tellez continues to prove herself as one of the featherweight division’s boxing elite against fellow rising contender Barry. Tellez vs. Barry will be contested under 10 rounds at 126lbs in the featherweight division.

They join a main card of decorated current and former champions and top contenders, headlined by a rarely-seen pound-for-pound clash between the USA's unified WBA and WBC champion and ESPN’s #7 P4P Mikaela Mayer vs. the UK's WBO champion and ESPN’s #5 P4P Chantelle Cameron in a 10-round title unification bout at 154lbs. In the co-main event, London, UK’s unified WBC and WBO lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois will face the USA’s WBO #5 contender, 2x national champion, and reigning NABF lightweight champion Amelia Moore in a 10-round defense at 135lbs. Reina Tellez, a Team USA veteran who took up boxing in 2012, quickly established herself among the elites of the amateur scene. Her accolades include winning gold at the 2015 and 2017 National Junior Olympics, winning the 2018 National Golden Gloves championship, and back-to-back silver medals at the 2018 and 2019 National Junior Olympics. After making her pro debut in 2021–the lone technical draw on her record–she returned to boxing in 2023 and began her rise, winning her next three bouts by TKO. In June 2024, Tellez defeated Hungarian prospect Beata Dudek on the undercard of Gervonta Davis vs Frank Martin in Las Vegas. Just three weeks later in July 2024, Tellez successfully outpointed Wendellin Cruz to win the vacant WBC Youth featherweight title by unanimous decision, before dropping down to win the NABF super bantamweight and bantamweight titles later that year. The 22-year-old Tellez, of Irish-Mexican heritage, most recently faced Amanda Serrano for the unified WBA and WBO world titles in January 2026, with Serrano winning by decision. She resides in San Antonio, Texas and is represented by Boxlab Promotions.

Coventry, West Midlands, England’s Jessica Barry is a 32-year-old professional boxer. After winning silver in the England Boxing amateur national championships in 2021, she turned pro in 2022, winning her debut by commanding TKO. Since, she has continued her rise, initially campaigning in the super featherweight and lightweight divisions. In 2024, she earned her first title, defeating Beccy Ferguson by TKO to win the BBBofC Midlands Area super featherweight title. In her next fight in December 2024, she moved down to featherweight to defeat Chelsey Arnell by decision to claim the vacant BBBofC English featherweight title by unanimous decision. She successfully defended the title against Linzi Buczynskyj in 2025, again winning by UD. She won her most recent bout by points in March 2026.

Luton, Bedfordshire’s Tysie “The First Lady” Gallagher has established herself as one of the United Kingdom's most accomplished female fighters. She began boxing at age 10 and had a decorated amateur career spanning 35 bouts, winning two national titles, twice reaching the ABA Senior Elite Championship finals, and represented England on the international stage. Since turning professional, Gallagher became the first-ever female British super bantamweight champion while also capturing the Commonwealth and WBO International titles at 122lbs. Now ranked the IBF’s #5 contender in the world, Gallagher has emerged as one of the leading contenders in the super bantamweight division. In November 2023, she challenged Segolene Lefebvre for the WBO world title in just her eighth pro fight. Gallagher most recently earned a unanimous decision win over challenger Ellie Hellewell in defense of her Commonwealth, BBBoC British, and WBO International titles in September 2025. She was initially scheduled to compete on MVP’s UK debut event, MVPW-01, in April 2026, but was forced to withdraw due to injury. Outside the ring, she is a proud mother to her seven-year-old daughter.

Welsh super-bantamweight Ashleigh "Sweet Poison" Johnson is continuing to build her career after making her professional debut in October 2023. Swansea’s Johnson (3-4) has earned a reputation as a durable, tough and a hard night’s work for the best. Johnson, 29, has victories over Kerry Orton, Jamillette Janitza Vallejos and Kira Carter. Her defeats have come against Britain’s Victoria Perkins, Katie Healy, Cassidy Todd and Molly McCann pushing the former UFC superstar for eight rounds before dropping a points decision in April. Johnson now faces the biggest opportunity of her career when she meets British and Commonwealth champion Tysie Gallagher on MVPW-06 UK over six rounds as Johnson looks to upset one of Britain's leading boxers and announce herself on the MVP platform.

The preliminary card of MVPW-06 will also feature Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire’s Gemma Richardson (4-0, 1 KO) vs. Wolverhampton, West Midlands’ 2x European champion Kirstie Bavington (10-5-2, 2 KOs) in a 6-round super lightweight bout at 140lbs, and Chelmsley Wood, West Midlands’ Scott Melvin (12-1, 2 KOs) in a rematch against Coventry, West Midlands’ Dylan Cheema (11-3, 3 KOs) in an 8-round, lightweight bout at 135bs.

Gemma Richardson is a rising British professional boxer who built her reputation through years of elite-level success in the amateur ranks. A decorated amateur, Richardson’s pedigree includes a Commonwealth Games Silver Medal, European and World Youth titles, and numerous National Championships, achievements that underline both her talent and her ability to perform on major stages. Since turning pro, she has wasted no time accelerating her career and now looks to prove herself on a major platform, viewing it as a defining moment and a chance to prove she belongs at the highest level.

Kirstie “Bavvo” Bavington is a two-time European Welterweight Champion from Wolverhampton and fought in the first-ever professional women's BBBoC British title contest against Lauren Price in 2023. Known as “Bavvo” and a former PE teacher and elite footballer, she now competes at the highest level and is known as one of Britain’s toughest professional boxers, driven by one goal: becoming a world champion. Bavington most recently won a points decision over Linzi Buczynskyj in March 2026. Outside the ring, she is passionate about inspiring the next generation through boxing and community work.

Scott Melvin is a 25-year-old professional boxer from Chelmsley Wood, West Midlands, England. The “Terrier”. After a strong start to his career, Melvin contested for the then-vacant BBBofC Midlands Area lightweight title, winning by 10th round TKO against Mykey Lee Broughton. With a lone loss on his record, a tightly-contested split decision against Dylan Cheema in 2022, Melvin now looks for redemption in a rematch against Cheema on Saturday, August 29. He has won his last seven bouts, most recently defeating Harvey Sturton by points in November 2025.

Dylan Cheema is a 30-year-old boxer from Coventry, West Midlands, United Kingdom. He made his pro debut in October 2021 and began his career with seven straight wins including over Scott Melvin in 2022. After two strong wins at the end of 2025, Cheema most recently contested for the vacant BBBofC Midlands Area super lightweight title against Kirk Stevens in April 2026. Cheema now returns looking for his second win over Melvin.

The 10-round main event will see USA's unified WBA and WBC super welterweight world champion Mikaela Mayer (22-2, 5 KOs) vs. the UK's WBO super welterweight world champion Chantelle Cameron (22-1, 8 KOs). The 10-round title unification main event will be contested with two-minute rounds at 154lbs

MVPW-06 features an all-female main card built entirely around UK vs. USA matchups, with the event headlined by one of the biggest fights in women’s boxing. 

Reigning unified WBA and WBC super welterweight world champion at 154lbs and the reigning WBO welterweight world champion at 147lbs Mikaela Mayer, 2016 U.S. Olympian, jumped out to a 17-0 record to begin her pro career while winning a pair of super featherweight world titles and becoming a pound-for-pound mainstay. Mayer lost her perfect record in a debated 2022 split decision loss to Alycia Baumgardner in a bid for the undisputed super featherweight title. In January 2024, she contended for the IBF welterweight world title against Natasha Jonas. While a Jonas rematch did not materialize, Mayer seized her second opportunity to become a two-weight world champion in September 2024, when she defeated WBO welterweight world champion Sandy Ryan by majority decision in a Fight of the Year contender. Six months later, Mayer bested Ryan by unanimous decision in Las Vegas, putting an exclamation point on their fierce 20-round rivalry. Mayer conquered a third weight class in October 2025, dominating Canadian star Mary Spencer over 10 rounds in Montreal to capture the WBA, WBC, and WBO junior middleweight titles. Reigning WBO super welterweight world champion at 154lbs, #5 pound-for-pound boxer in the world, and former undisputed super lightweight champion at 140lbs Chantelle “Il Capo” Cameron (22-1, 8 KOs) is one of the most recognized names in women’s boxing. Cameron made her pro boxing debut in May 2017 and earned her first title honors in December 2017, her fifth pro fight, winning the IBO 135lb lightweight world title by stoppage. In 2020, Cameron moved up to 140lbs to contend for the then-vacant WBC super lightweight world title, defeating Adriana Dos Santos Araujo to become a two-division champion. Cameron unified her titles against Mary McGee in October 2021, earning a UD win to add the IBF and Ring Magazine titles to her WBC hardware. In November 2022, Cameron defeated Jessica McCaskill to become the undisputed super lightweight champion. Cameron’s undisputed reign came to head against Ireland’s Katie Taylor in May 2023, when she successfully defended her undisputed crown. The win set the stage for the pair’s rematch in November 2023, which resulted in a majority decision for Taylor. Cameron won the WBO super welterweight title with a dominant performance in April 2026, a belt Mayer had won then vacated just months prior, and Mayer now looks to reclaim it alongside her WBA and WBC hardware.

WBC lightweight world champion “Sweet” Caroline Dubois fights out of London, England. Her amateur career was nothing short of legendary, a dominant run that included winning the gold medal at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, becoming England’s first World Youth Champion (2018), and capturing four European Youth Championship titles between 2016 and 2019. This amateur dominance earned her the prestigious BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award in 2019. In 2021, she represented Team GB at the Tokyo Summer Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals. Dubois made her professional debut in February 2022 and quickly established herself in the lightweight division. In September 2023, she earned her first major professional title, winning the vacant IBO lightweight world title via unanimous decision. Her ascent continued in August 2024, when she defeated Maira Moneo to claim the WBC Interim lightweight title. Following a relinquishment of the title, Dubois was elevated to become the WBC lightweight world champion in December 2024. The 25-year-old southpaw successfully retained her titles in 2025, securing a majority decision win against Bo Mi Re Shin in March 2025 before another successful title defense vs. Camilla Panatta on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua in December. In the headlining bout of MVPW-01 in April 2025, she successfully unified titles with then-WBO champion Terri Harper, becoming the new unified WBC and WBO lightweight world champion at 135lbs. She is currently ranked ESPN’s #1 lightweight, as well as ESPN’s #10 and Boxrec’s #12 pound-for-pound talent in the world.

Amelia Moore is an American lightweight boxer, two-time national amateur champion, and former member of Team USA. She began training as a boxer while she was still in high school, continuing to train during two years at the United States Naval Academy, where she was recruited to run track. A member of USA Boxing since 2011, Moore built an impressive amateur and professional career highlighted by national titles at the National Golden Gloves Championships and the USA Boxing National Championships. She also captured gold medals at the Elite National Championships and National PAL Championships, earned a bronze medal at the 2022 Continental Championships in Ecuador, and represented Team USA in international competition around the world. A longtime Olympic hopeful, Moore qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials and served as an alternate for Team USA during the Tokyo Olympic cycle. Moore made her pro debut in November 2024. In March 2026, just her fourth pro fight, she captured the NABF lightweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Bonnie Hunter, She is currently ranked the #5 WBO and #14 WBC contender at 135lbs. She is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Terri “Belter” Harper fights out of Doncaster, England. During her brief career at the amateur level, competing only 17 times, she earned three national titles and won silver at the 2012 European Junior Championships. Harper went on to make her professional debut in 2017 at age 21. Less than two years later in July 2019, she found her first world title opportunity in the super featherweight division at 130lbs, defeating Nozipho Bell by TKO to earn the previously vacant IBO world title. Following a successful first defense, Harper quickly unified her titles against then-WBC champion Eva Wahlstrom in February 2020, winning by unanimous decision. She successfully defended her unified titles twice more before facing a challenging loss to Alycia Baumgardner in November 2021. An unshaken Harper returned to the ring just four months later to earn her next win before moving up four divisions to 154lbs to challenge Hannah Rankin for the WBA and IBO super welterweight world titles, winning by UD. After contesting for the WBO world title at 154lbs, Harper moved down to 135lbs in September 2024, defeating Rhiannon Dixon to capture the WBO lightweight world title. With the win, she became Britain's first-ever three-division women’s world champion.

Harper made her first title defense at 135lbs in May 2025, besting Natalie Zimmermann by unanimous decision. She most recently faced Caroline Dubois on MVPW-01 in April 2026, live on Sky Sports. The 29-year-old is currently ranked as ESPN’s #4 lightweight in the world.

Born in El Paso and raised in Northside Houston, Texas by a hard-working Mexican-American family, 24-year-old Miranda “La Alacrana” Reyes has built her professional career facing some of the sport’s most respected names, including MVP’s unified lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois and MVP’s WBA lightweight world champion Stephanie Han. Reyes turned pro at 17 without an amateur background, guided by former trainer Hector Rocha, whose belief in her talent and style shaped her confidence until his passing from COVID-19 in 2020.
