(July 22nd) Salita Promotions returns to the Motor City on Saturday, August 29, 2026, with "Big Time Boxing," a high-octane night of world-class professional boxing headlined by a compelling all-American heavyweight showdown between surging contender Brandon "OJ Bam" Moore and former world title challenger Bryant "By-By" Jennings. The event takes place at Detroit's historic Fox Theatre and will stream live worldwide exclusively on the Wynn Records Network.

The main event matches two heavyweights at very different stages of their careers but with identical ambitions. Lakeland, Florida's Brandon Moore (19-1, 10 KOs) enters riding a five-fight winning streak and looking to cement his place among the division's elite, while Philadelphia native Bryant "By By" Jennings (27-4, 15 KOs) continues an impressive comeback that has re-established the respected veteran as a legitimate threat in the heavyweight division.

Standing 6-foot-6 and fighting out of Lakeland, Florida, the 32-year-old, Moore has rapidly developed into one of America's most promising heavyweight contenders. Since making his professional debut in February 2020, the orthodox boxer known as "OJ Bam" has compiled a 19-1 record with 10 knockouts while consistently accepting the toughest available opposition. Moore's only professional defeat came against unbeaten U.S. Olympic silver medalist and highly regarded contender Richard Torrez Jr. in May 2024, a setback that has only accelerated his development.

Since that lone loss, Moore has responded in emphatic fashion, winning five consecutive bouts while proving he belongs among the heavyweight division's emerging contenders. After victories over Helaman Olguin, Skylar Lacy and Stanley Wright, Moore delivered perhaps the finest performance of his career in September 2025, boxing masterfully over ten rounds to earn a unanimous decision over previously unbeaten DeAndre Savage at Detroit's Fox Theatre. That victory marked his third consecutive win over an undefeated opponent and further established the WBO No. 15-rated contender as one of the division's fastest-rising American heavyweights.

In the opposing corner will be one of boxing's most respected veterans. Jennings, 41, turned professional in 2010 after beginning boxing relatively late and quickly climbed into the heavyweight elite through relentless work ethic, athleticism and durability. The Philadelphia native earned world title opportunities against Wladimir Klitschko for the unified IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight championships in 2015 and later challenged for the WBA interim heavyweight title, sharing the ring with many of boxing's premier heavyweights throughout his distinguished career.

Jennings has built his reputation by consistently facing elite competition, including memorable battles with Wladimir Klitschko, Luis Ortiz, Oscar Rivas and Joe Joyce. Renowned for his high-volume punching, educated jab, outstanding conditioning and unwavering toughness, Jennings has remained one of America's most respected heavyweights for more than a decade.

After a five-year absence from the sport following his 2019 bout with Joe Joyce, Jennings returned to the ring in 2024 determined to prove he still belongs among boxing's top heavyweights. The comeback has been impressive. He opened his return with a unanimous decision victory over Joel Caudle before scoring a devastating first-round knockout of Devonte Williams in May 2026. Jennings followed that performance with a dominant eight-round unanimous decision over Robert Simms on June 14 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, winning by scores of 80-71, 80-71 and 79-72 to improve to 27-4 with 15 knockouts. Trained by renowned coaches Bozy Ennis and Aaron Ford, Jennings enters Detroit on a three-fight winning streak with renewed momentum and confidence.

The clash represents a classic crossroads fight between youth and experience. Moore seeks the signature victory that could propel him into world-title contention, while Jennings is determined to demonstrate that experience, championship pedigree and recent momentum remain a formidable combination against one of the heavyweight division's brightest young contenders.

The undercard highlights the highly anticipated Detroit debut of two of boxing's most exciting young prospects, super featherweight Julius "JuJu" Ballo (3-0) and lightweight Jonny Mansour (7-0, 2 KOs), cousins and proud members of the Iraqi-Chaldean community.

Ballo, a 2021 Junior Pan American Games gold medalist and three-time USA Boxing National Champion, turned professional in 2025 at Madison Square Garden and has already amassed nearly 1.3 million followers across TikTok and Instagram. Mansour, the first Californian since Richard Torrez Jr. to become a two-time Golden Gloves champion, has headlined three events in his home state while building a social media following exceeding 600,000. Both prospects recently thrilled more than 5,000 hometown fans with victories in Oceanside, California, and now make their Detroit debuts before one of the nation's largest Chaldean communities.

Mansour, who dedicates his boxing career to his late mother, has trained alongside Ryan Garcia, Manny Pacquiao and David Benavidez while pursuing his lifelong goal of becoming a world champion. Opponents for both Ballo and Mansour will be announced shortly.

The event is promoted by Salita Promotions in association with G2G Promotions and Wynn Records, with Comerica Bank serving as the exclusive presenting partner of the Fox Theatre.
