By WBO World Flyweight Championship Battle;

Boxing History To Be Made As Openly Gay South American Boxer Oscar Bonafacino Appears In Co-Featured Attraction!

(May 8th) Yesterday, aboard the luxurious Hornblower Hybrid New York yacht at Alcatraz Landing/Pier 33 in San Francisco, hall-of-fame boxing ambassadors Christy Martin and Jimmy Lennon Jr., hosted as the principal fighters for the ‘History In The Making’ World Championship Boxing went face to face for the first time at the opening press conference to announce the blockbuster event being held on Saturday, July 11, at San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza.

Present were headlining fighters, WBO World Flyweight Champion Anthony Olascuaga, his challenger Andy Dominguez; Uruguayan featherweight prospect Oscar Bonifacino and his opponent Raul Escudero, who will appear in the six-round co-featured attraction; as well as world #1-ranked super featherweight Charly Suarez and opponent Manuel “Tino” Avila.

The press conference also featured promoters Ed Pereira, CEO of iVB, Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing, and Paco Damian of Paco Presents, plus Sky Sports commentator Andy Clark, California State Athletic Commissioner Chris Gruwell, and Trainer of the Year Bob Santos.

Also squaring off on July 11 will be Vito Mielnicki Jr. defending his WBC, IBF & WBO Regional Middleweight Championships against Gerardo Luis Vergara, undefeated heavyweight Gurgen Hovhannisyan taking on Uila Mauʻu; and super featherweight Blake Binskin facing Dante Paris Ibarra Hernandez .
