Kevin Nagle Seeks Heavyweight Redemption
vs Sione Finau In CES Boxing & Granite Chin Promotions Boston Harbor Fight Night 3 Main Event November 7th!
(October 20th) The bright lights of Encore Boston Harbor will once again illuminate the New England boxing scene on Saturday, November 7, when veteran promoter Jimmy Burchfield Sr.'s CES Boxing and Chris Traietti's Granite Chin Promotions join forces to present Boston Harbor Fight Night 3, an action-packed evening of professional boxing featuring a Massachusetts heavyweight championship showdown, undefeated prospects, experienced veterans and several promising knockout artists determined to make their mark.
Headlining the seven-bout program at the luxurious Encore Boston Harbor in Everett, Massachusetts, Scituate heavyweight Kevin “Big Gulp” Nagle (11-1, 8 KOs) will attempt to put the disappointment of his first professional defeat behind him when he squares off against Boston-based Tongan heavyweight Sione Tu’Ukofe Finau (6-3-1, 4 KOs) in a scheduled six-round contest for the Massachusetts State heavyweight championship.
For Nagle, a U.S. Army veteran and former Massachusetts State and WBC USA Silver heavyweight titleholder, the November 7 encounter represents considerably more than another appearance before his hometown supporters. It is an opportunity to reclaim regional championship honors, restore momentum to a promising professional career and demonstrate that one disappointing night does not define a fighter's future.
The 11-fight winner entered his previous appearance at Encore Boston Harbor on August 29 with an unblemished 11-0 professional record and eight knockouts, but encountered a formidable obstacle in 6-foot-5 heavyweight Chase DeMoor. Competing for the vacant WBC USA Silver heavyweight championship in the main event of Boston Harbor Fight Night 2, Nagle suffered the first official defeat of his career when DeMoor scored a fifth-round technical knockout.
After a relatively cautious opening three rounds, DeMoor began imposing his physical advantages, dropping Nagle with a right hand following a jab late in the fourth. The momentum carried into the fifth, when another powerful blow sent Nagle to the canvas for a second time. Although the Massachusetts heavyweight regained his feet, referee Marcel Varela determined that he was unable to continue and halted the contest just 45 seconds into the fifth round. The victory earned DeMoor the vacant WBC USA Silver championship and left Nagle facing the difficult task of rebuilding after his first professional setback. FightBook MMA
Now, little more than two months later, Nagle returns to the same venue with redemption on his mind. Possessing eight knockouts in his 11 victories, the powerful heavyweight has demonstrated an ability to finish opponents inside the scheduled distance. However, his upcoming assignment against Finau promises another demanding test, particularly against an opponent who has also established a reputation for ending fights early.
Finau, who represents Tonga while fighting out of Boston, brings a professional record of 6-3-1 with four knockouts into the championship encounter. According to the October 20 event announcement, the hard-hitting heavyweight enters the contest riding a two-fight winning streak and looking to capitalize on the biggest opportunity of his professional career. With four of his six victories coming by knockout, Finau has the punching power to threaten Nagle's comeback ambitions.
The scheduled six-round championship battle presents an intriguing contrast between two heavyweights with something substantial to prove. Nagle will be attempting to reestablish himself among the region's leading heavyweights, while Finau has an opportunity to defeat a former champion and claim the Massachusetts State heavyweight crown. With both fighters possessing respectable knockout percentages and neither likely to surrender ground easily, the main event has the ingredients for an explosive encounter.
The six-round middleweight co-feature will showcase undefeated Nashua, New Hampshire southpaw Michael “Blessed Southpaw” Fontanez (12-0-1, 8 KOs), who faces experienced campaigner Alfred Raymond in a contest that could provide an important measuring stick for the promising New England prospect.
Fontanez has compiled an impressive professional résumé, winning 12 of his first 13 outings while registering eight knockouts. His aggressive approach, combined with the awkward angles associated with his southpaw stance, has helped establish him as an emerging attraction on the regional boxing circuit. Nevertheless, his most recent appearance demonstrated that maintaining an unbeaten record becomes increasingly challenging as the level of opposition improves.
On September 6, 2025, Fontanez battled Esneiker Correa to an eight-round majority draw in Lowell, Massachusetts, marking the first occasion in his professional career that he failed to secure a victory. Although the result interrupted his winning streak, Fontanez retained his undefeated status and gained valuable experience in a competitive contest that extended the full scheduled distance.
Previously, on June 21, 2025, Fontanez demonstrated his finishing ability by stopping Noah Kidd at 2:58 of the fourth round during the Mill City Mayhem boxing event. The victory improved his professional record to 12-0 with eight knockouts before his subsequent draw with Correa.
Standing opposite Fontanez on November 7 will be Raymond, a seasoned professional who has experienced the highs and lows of the sport while accumulating considerably more ring experience than his unbeaten opponent. Raymond's recent results include a decision defeat against Thomas Parker on April 11, 2026, and a second-round technical knockout loss to James Perkins on June 19, 2026, the latter result having been amended from an initially recorded no-contest by the Massachusetts boxing authorities.
For Fontanez, the assignment represents an opportunity to return to the winner's circle, preserve his undefeated professional record and continue building toward more significant opportunities in the middleweight division. For Raymond, it offers the chance to upset an emerging prospect and remind boxing observers that experience can sometimes overcome youth, momentum and an impressive record.
Another intriguing six-round contest will feature undefeated welterweight knockout artist Jaydell “The Pazmanian Devil” Pazmino (10-0, 8 KOs), a native of Lawrence, Massachusetts, now residing in Londonderry, New Hampshire, against British challenger Graham Tirrell (10-3, 2 KOs).
Pazmino enters the contest as one of the card's most dangerous punchers, having stopped eight of his first ten professional opponents. His impressive 80-percent knockout ratio underscores the offensive firepower that has helped him maintain an unblemished record while attracting attention throughout the New England boxing community.
The hard-hitting prospect has already enjoyed success at Encore Boston Harbor. On November 15, 2025, competing on the inaugural Boston Harbor Fight Night program, Pazmino overwhelmed veteran Daniel Sostre, scoring a second-round knockout at 1:48. The victory was one of the evening's notable stoppages and helped reinforce his reputation as an exciting young fighter capable of producing explosive finishes. CES Fights
Pazmino now faces a different challenge against Tirrell, who travels from the United Kingdom carrying ten professional victories and only three defeats. Although the British fighter has recorded just two knockouts, his greater reliance on boxing rather than outright punching power could present Pazmino with a different tactical assignment.
For Pazmino, the stakes extend beyond preserving his perfect record. A convincing victory over an international opponent would strengthen his credentials as a developing welterweight prospect and provide another important step toward higher-profile competition. Tirrell, meanwhile, will be looking to spoil the unbeaten fighter's homecoming and return across the Atlantic with a noteworthy victory.
One of the card's more intriguing developing stories involves Jordanian-born light heavyweight Mohammad “Lightning” Alyazouri (1-0, 1 KO), who will return to the venue where he launched his professional career with a spectacular first-round knockout just over two months earlier.
The 30-year-old Alyazouri, who resides in Burlington, Vermont, brings an extensive international amateur background to the professional ranks. A former member of the Jordanian National Boxing Team from 2012 through 2022, he compiled a reported amateur record of 83 victories against eight defeats before relocating to the United States.
Alyazouri made an emphatic professional debut on August 29 at Boston Harbor Fight Night 2, needing only 35 seconds to dispatch Charles de Sousa with a powerful left hook. The impressive performance immediately established the former international amateur as a prospect worth following.
His transition to professional boxing has also included an important career development outside the ring. Following his successful debut, Alyazouri signed an exclusive promotional agreement with Granite Chin Promotions, joining fellow prospect Barrett Hanlon as part of the company's expanding roster of developing talent. fightnews.com
Away from boxing, Alyazouri and his wife, Kate, operate Emerge, a gym in Winooski, Vermont. The fighter has spoken enthusiastically about the support he receives from his local community, including friends and gym members willing to travel to Massachusetts to watch him compete.
His professional development is particularly interesting because of the contrast between his extensive amateur experience and the adjustments required in the paid ranks. Having spent a decade competing internationally, Alyazouri possesses a technical foundation shaped by the amateur boxing traditions of Jordan and the influence of Eastern European training methods.
His first professional appearance demonstrated that those skills can translate into immediate offensive success, but the coming months will reveal how effectively he adapts to longer contests, different styles and increasingly experienced opposition.
An October 15 promotional announcement identified 28-fight veteran Saul Almeida as Alyazouri's scheduled opponent in a four-round light heavyweight contest. However, the subsequent October 20 card announcement listed Alyazouri in a four-round heavyweight bout with his opponent still to be announced. Consequently, his participation is confirmed in the published event lineup, while his final opponent and weight classification remain subject to clarification.
Another promising newcomer scheduled to return is light heavyweight Barrett Hanlon (1-0, 1 KO), who also made a successful professional debut on the August 29 program.
Hanlon, like Alyazouri, impressed Granite Chin Promotions officials sufficiently to earn an exclusive promotional agreement following his initial appearance. Both prospects have been praised by promoter Chris Traietti for their aggressive fighting styles, explosive offensive capabilities and professionalism outside the ring.
The November 7 appearance offers Hanlon an opportunity to build upon his successful introduction to professional boxing and continue gaining valuable experience as he develops his career.
Although the October 20 promotional announcement did not identify Hanlon's opponent, an event listing names veteran Juan Celin Zapata (7-28-2) as a possible four-round light heavyweight adversary. That matchup should be considered provisional until officially confirmed.
The scheduled undercard also features an intriguing four-round middleweight encounter between Connecticut's Daine Smikle (4-1, 1 KO) and experienced Puerto Rican veteran Daniel Sostre, whose professional résumé includes more than 40 appearances.
Smikle, who has won four of his first five professional contests, will attempt to continue his development against an opponent accustomed to facing rising prospects throughout the Northeast.
Sostre's record, listed as 13-31-3 in the event materials, does not fully convey the experience accumulated during a lengthy professional career. Having shared the ring with numerous regional prospects and contenders, the veteran understands the challenges of competing against younger opponents eager to advance their careers.
His previous appearance at Encore Boston Harbor ended in a second-round knockout defeat against Jaydell Pazmino in November 2025, and he will now attempt to produce a more favorable result against Smikle.
For Smikle, the encounter represents an opportunity to gain additional rounds, sharpen his professional skills and strengthen his record against an experienced opponent. Sostre, meanwhile, will be seeking to demonstrate that his ring knowledge and competitive determination remain valuable assets.
A six-round light heavyweight matchup between Revere, Massachusetts veteran Leonardo Ladeira (9-11-1, 8 KOs) and Peabody's Russ Kimber (3-5, 1 KO) adds a distinctly local flavor to the November 7 festivities.
Although neither boxer enters with an undefeated record, their encounter promises a competitive regional confrontation between fighters familiar with the demanding New England boxing circuit.
Ladeira's record is particularly deceptive when examining his knockout statistics. Eight of his nine professional victories have come inside the scheduled distance, giving him an exceptionally high stoppage percentage among his wins. That punching power makes him a potentially dangerous opponent regardless of his overall win-loss record.
Kimber, meanwhile, will attempt to use the experience accumulated through eight professional contests to neutralize Ladeira's power and secure an important victory.
With both fighters representing Massachusetts communities and local bragging rights at stake, their six-round encounter provides another compelling addition to a program designed to showcase the depth and diversity of New England boxing.
Boston Harbor Fight Night 3 also represents another significant chapter in the developing promotional partnership between two established names in regional boxing, CES Boxing and Granite Chin Promotions.

Its history includes involvement with such recognizable boxing personalities as former world champions Vinny Paz and Chad Dawson, as well as numerous regional contenders and nationally recognized fighters.
Granite Chin Promotions, led by former professional boxer Chris Traietti, has similarly established a reputation for providing competitive opportunities to developing fighters, experienced professionals and local attractions.
The partnership between the two organizations has already produced memorable championship encounters at Encore Boston Harbor.
Their inaugural Boston Harbor Fight Night event on November 15, 2025, featured undefeated middleweight Francis “Frank the Tank” Hogan defeating Antonio Todd by unanimous decision to capture the North American Boxing Federation middleweight championship. The sold-out eight-fight program also included impressive performances from Jaydell Pazmino, Jonathan de Pina, Eric Goff and several other regional fighters. CES Fights
The promotional collaboration returned to Encore on August 29, 2026, with Boston Harbor Fight Night 2, headlined by DeMoor's fifth-round stoppage of Nagle for the vacant WBC USA Silver heavyweight championship.
That ten-bout program also provided a platform for several developing fighters, including Alyazouri and Hanlon, who now return for the third installment of the series.
With the November 7 event, CES Boxing and Granite Chin Promotions are continuing their efforts to establish Encore Boston Harbor as a recurring destination for professional boxing in the Greater Boston area.
The combination of championship stakes, established local attractions, emerging prospects and international opposition reflects the promoters' emphasis on creating competitive opportunities while building a recognizable regional boxing series.
For Nagle, November 7 represents a chance to erase the bitter memory of his August defeat and reclaim the Massachusetts heavyweight championship. For Finau, it presents an opportunity to secure a significant regional title and elevate his standing in the heavyweight division.
For Fontanez and Pazmino, the evening offers another opportunity to protect their undefeated records while demonstrating that their professional development is progressing toward more demanding assignments.
For Alyazouri and Hanlon, it marks another step in the transition from promising newcomers to established professional prospects.
And for the New England boxing community, Boston Harbor Fight Night 3 promises another evening in which established fighters, rising contenders and determined veterans share the spotlight.
Seven scheduled professional bouts, a Massachusetts heavyweight championship, two undefeated featured prospects and several dangerous knockout punchers will converge at Encore Boston Harbor on November 7, as CES Boxing and Granite Chin Promotions attempt to deliver another memorable chapter in their growing fight-night series.
The opening bell is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at Encore Boston Harbor, located at 1 Broadway in Everett, Massachusetts.
