Viddal Riley vs Seydi Coupe
European Cruiserweight Title Bout November 14th
Headlines MF PRO Card OVO Arena Wembley!
(October 8th) Viddal Riley will make the first defense of his European cruiserweight championship when he faces unbeaten mandatory challenger Seydi Coupe on Saturday, November 14, at OVO Arena Wembley in London, with the 12-round championship contest headlining an MF PRO card live on DAZN. The matchup brings together two undefeated cruiserweights, with Riley entering at 14-0 with seven knockouts and France’s Coupe also boasting a perfect 14-0 record, including nine victories inside the distance.
Riley, 29, heads into his first professional main-event assignment on the strength of a commanding performance in his most recent outing. On April 4, the North Londoner captured the European cruiserweight title with a near-shutout unanimous decision over experienced former world-title challenger Mateusz Masternak at The O2 Arena. Riley controlled the 12-round contest with his speed, movement and accuracy, earning official scores of 118-110, 118-110 and 119-109 to add the European crown to the British title he had won in his previous appearance.
That British title triumph came on April 26, 2025, when Riley outboxed then-champion Cheavon Clarke over 12 rounds at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Riley earned another unanimous decision, with the judges scoring the contest 117-111, 116-112 and 115-113. The performance extended his unbeaten record to 13-0 at the time and established him as British champion before his subsequent move to European level.
Coupe arrives in London with momentum of his own and an unbeaten 14-0 record. The 29-year-old Frenchman's two most recent outings both came in 2026. On May 30 in Roubaix, Coupe defeated Bosnia's Ervin Dzinic by technical decision after two rounds, according to the French Boxing Federation, moving his record to 14-0. Two months earlier, on March 7 in La Louvière, Belgium, Coupe earned a shutout six-round unanimous decision over Czech veteran Jiri Svacina, with all three judges scoring the contest 60-54.
Those victories followed Coupe's breakthrough run at European level. He won the vacant French cruiserweight championship in July 2024 by unanimous decision over John Franck Mendy before stopping Thomas Faure inside three rounds in April 2025 to capture the vacant EBU Silver cruiserweight title. His undefeated run subsequently earned him mandatory challenger status for Riley's European championship.
Riley's European title defense comes as he continues to pursue a world championship opportunity. Following his victory over Masternak, Riley moved to No. 2 in the IBF rankings and was positioned for a potential challenge for the vacant IBF cruiserweight championship. With that route currently unresolved, Riley elected to remain active by defending his European crown against its mandatory challenger rather than wait on the world-title picture.
“It’s Main Event Season,” Riley said. “It’s taken 14 wins and three professional titles to make it here and I look forward to owning the moment. I am defending what’s mine as the EBU European champion and I will put on a statement performance to show why I’m mandatory for the IBF, ranked No. 7 [by] Ring Magazine and Top 10 in three of the major world governing bodies.”
MF PRO founder Kalle Sauerland said Riley could have waited for his world-title opportunity but instead chose to remain active against his mandatory challenger. “Viddal could easily have waited patiently for his shot at the IBF world title,” Sauerland said. “But off the back of his Mateusz Masternak masterclass, he wanted to keep the show on the road by taking on his mandatory challenger. Coupe is unbeaten and dangerous, but Viddal is a world champion in waiting, and we’re expecting a big win, live on DAZN.”
The November 14 card will also feature an intriguing lightweight co-feature between Manchester's Zelfa Barrett and Welsh veteran Gavin Gwynne, with the WBA Intercontinental lightweight title at stake. Barrett enters at 35-3 with 18 knockouts and has won his last two contests, most recently earning a six-round points decision over Owen Durnan on July 18, 2026. That victory followed eight-round points win over Liam Dillon on November 29, 2025. The two victories extended Barrett's current winning streak and brought him into the November 14 contest on the back of consecutive decision victories.
Gwynne, 19-4-2 with five knockouts, also enters the matchup coming off a significant victory. On May 9, 2026, the Welshman upset previously unbeaten Khaleel Majid by majority decision in a competitive 10-round contest at Co-op Live in Manchester, winning the vacant WBA International super-lightweight title on scores of 96-94, 96-94 and 95-95. The victory was particularly significant following an 18-month period in which Gwynne had endured a loss and a controversial draw in two meetings with Cameron Vuong. His most recent bout before Majid was the November 29, 2025 rematch with Vuong, which ended in a majority draw over 10 rounds.
Barrett and Gwynne therefore arrive at Wembley with contrasting recent momentum but both on winning form in their most recent completed contests. Barrett's experience and sharp decision-making will be tested against a Gwynne who enters after arguably the most important victory of his recent career, having defeated the previously unbeaten Majid to claim the WBA International title.
Riley versus Coupe will headline the MF PRO event at OVO Arena Wembley on Saturday, November 14, with Riley's European cruiserweight championship on the line and live coverage on DAZN. For Riley, the night represents another step toward his world-title ambitions; for Coupe, it is the biggest opportunity of his unbeaten professional career. Supporting the main event, Barrett and Gwynne bring their own championship stakes and recent winning momentum to a card that features four fighters whose latest outings have all produced victories.
