Now 24 years old, Azim competes in the 140-pound (super-lightweight) division from an orthodox stance and stands 5 feet 10 inches tall. His breakthrough came in November 2023 when he stopped Franck Petitjean to capture the European Super-Lightweight Championship, becoming the fastest British fighter to win the prestigious EBU title. He successfully defended the championship in February 2024 with an emphatic stoppage victory over the previously unbeaten Enock Poulsen before making his biggest statement to date on February 1, 2025, when he dropped and stopped former IBF World Champion Sergey Lipinets in nine rounds to claim the IBO World Super-Lightweight title and establish himself as a genuine world-level contender.

Azim has continued his momentum in 2026 with a dominant third-round stoppage of experienced Canadian contender Steve Claggett, a victory that further elevated his standing in the world rankings and strengthened his position for a future world title opportunity.
