(April 23rd) Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) today announced the signings of Argentina’s unified WBO, WBA, and IBF light flyweight champion at 108lbs Evelin Bermudez (22-1-1, 8 KOs), Mexico’s WBC light flyweight world champion at 108lbs Lourdes “La Pequeña Lulu” Juarez (39-4, 5 KOs), Mexico’s IBF super flyweight champion Irma Garcia (26-5-1, 6 KOs), Mexico’s #1 WBC contender and former WBA world champion at 122lbs Mayelli Flores (13-1-1, 4 KOs), WBA #1 contender and mandatory challenger at 118lbs, Brittany Sims (9-3, 5 KOs), and 21x US national champion, amateur world champion and undefeated 122lb rising contender Iyana “Roxy” Verduzco (7-0, 1 KO). These additions further cement MVP as the global home of women’s boxing, delivering fans the best fighters in the sport, while continuing to invest in key markets including Argentina, Mexico, and the U.S.

Evelin “La Princesita” Bermúdez is one of the most dominant figures in women’s boxing today. Born in Villa Gobernador Gálvez, she comes from a distinguished boxing lineage as the sister of former four-division world champion Daniela Bermúdez. Evelin currently holds the WBO, IBF, and WBA world titles at 108 pounds. Her rise to prominence was cemented in 2018, when she captured her first world title against Mexico’s Guadalupe Bautista. Since then, she has successfully defended her reign, solidifying her place among the pound-for-pound elite. She has headlined historic fights both in Argentina and abroad, becoming a key figure in the resurgence of women’s boxing in her country. Most recently, she delivered a statement performance, knocking out Canada’s Sara Bailey in just one round on the road, claiming her WBA title and becoming the unified world champion. Bermudez continues to build her legacy, proving that her nickname reflects not only her family heritage, but also the elegance and authority with which she rules her division on the global stage.

“I have high expectations after joining the MVP family,” said Evelin Bermudez. “I’m confident that together we can make my dream of becoming the undisputed champion at 108 pounds a reality—and then keep pushing for even more. The sky is the limit.”

Lourdes “La Pequeña Lulu” Juarez is a two-division world champion from Mexico City. The younger sister of Mexican legend Mariana “La Barby” Juarez, she is part of one of only a few sister pairs in history to become boxing world champions, alongside the Serrano and Bermúdez sisters, and her sister Patty is also a world champion in bare-knuckle boxing. Turning pro in 2013, Juarez went undefeated for eight years, capturing the WBC super flyweight world title in December 2020 and making three successful defenses before regaining championship status in November 2024 by moving down to 108lbs to win the then-vacant WBC light flyweight crown. Ranked #2 in the world at 108 pounds by ESPN, she has faced six former world champions, balanced motherhood to her two sons, Dominik and Derek, and also trains and mentors new talent at her gym in Mexico City. She has also showcased her versatility with an exhibition win in Miami over Dutch MMA fighter Isis Verbeek. Juarez successfully defended her title in March 2025 by 9th round TKO before her latest successful defense against Yesica Nery Plata in October 2025. She will defend her title against Yokasta Valle on the main card of MVPW-03 on Saturday, May 30, live on ESPN.

“I am very happy to be part of the MVP team, and I am comitéd to bring the best of Lulu Juarez to the promotion,” said Lourdes Juarez. “I am thankful for everyone involved in my career including my sister Mariana Juarez. Be prepared to see the best of Mexican female boxing!”

Irma “La Torbellino” García is a professional boxer, attorney, police officer, and member of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City. In the ring, she is both a former and current world champion, having previously won the WBA bantamweight world title at 118lbs and now holds the IBF super flyweight world title at 115lbs. Garcia most recently defended her title against then-#1 contender and mandatory challenger Emma Dolan on the main card of MVPW-01, the inaugural global event of MVPW, knocking down Dolan twice on her way to a third round TKO victory.

“I feel very happy for this great opportunity that Most Valuable Promotions has given us,” said Irma Garcia. “Without a doubt, being part of their roster of fighters helps position me to establish myself among the best in the world, and I know that with their support we will achieve the world title unification. Thank you, MVP, for believing in my discipline, talent, and experience. We’re going to keep making history.”

Mayelli Flores is the former WBA super bantamweight world champion from Mexico City, Mexico. Standing at 4’11”, Flores turned professional in 2014 and has built a reputation for high pressure and punch volume inside the ring. After an early career highlighted a narrow world title challenge against Yulihan Luna, Flores defeated Nazarena Romero by split decision in Kissimmee, Florida, to capture the WBA 122lb crown in May 2025. Known for her toughness, stamina, and willingness to trade in the pocket, the 33-year-old Flores represents Mexico with pride as she continues her rise among the sport’s elite. Flores made her MVP debut on MVPW-01, facing Ellie Scotney in the double main event for the undisputed world titles.

“I am thrilled to be signing with MVP,” said Mayelli Flores. “I would like to thank God for this opportunity. MVP continues to make history, and I am proud to be part of it and to represent Mexico on this platform.”

WBA #1 contender at 118lbs, Brittany Sims (9-3, 5 KOs) has engineered one of the most impressive turnarounds in women’s boxing, having transformed her career from a 1–3 start into a formidable 9–3 record, highlighted by her current eight-fight winning streak. A well-rounded athlete, Sims brings a diverse background in MMA and track and field, tools that have helped shape her explosiveness, conditioning, and ring IQ. She also dominated in the TCL league, where she put together an incredible 16-fight winning streak. During her rise, Sims captured the WBA Americas Continental title, the NABF title, and the WBA International title, achievements that positioned her as the WBA’s #1 contender and mandatory challenger for the world championship against Cherneka Johnson. Trained by Lemuel Rodriguez and managed by Dave Dubinsky of DKO and fighting out of Bethlehem, Sims has developed into a relentless, heavy-handed contender known for her pressure and knockout power. She now looks ahead to the next chapter of her career with Most Valuable Promotions.

“From training in my parents’ garage to signing with one of the biggest promotions in boxing—God has guided every step,” said Brittany Sims. “Grateful for my team, my journey, and this opportunity with MVP. I’m focused, ready, and coming for the championship of the world!”

Iyana Roxonie Verduzco is an undefeated pro boxer from Los Angeles, California. A skilled boxer-puncher and southpaw, Verduzco is recognized for her high boxing IQ, sharp timing, and quickness, training at Wild Card Boxing Club under coaches Gloria Alvarado and Marvin Somodio. Verduzco began boxing at just four years old and had her first fight at eight, building an exceptional amateur career that included 108 fights. She became a 21x national champion and amateur world champion, qualifying for the 2019 Olympic Trials. Coming from four generations of fighters, Verduzco draws inspiration from her uncle, undefeated kickboxer Benny “The Jet” Urquidez, and her mother, who introduced her to boxing and is her greatest motivation. Outside the ring, Verduzco, a dual citizen of Mexico and the United States, enjoys traveling and reading, owns a coffee truck, and is currently learning piano.

“Signing with MVP means everything to me after 20 years in this sport. I’ve seen how hard women have had to fight just to be recognized, not only in the ring but outside of it too, and to now be signed by one of the biggest promotions supporting female athletes is truly an honor,” said Roxy Verduzco. “MVP isn’t just giving women opportunities, they’re putting us on major platforms, creating mega fights, and proving that we belong at the highest level of boxing. Being part of a promotion that already has superstar fighters I looked up to growing up makes this moment even more meaningful. For me, this is an opportunity to showcase everything I’ve built over the last two decades, represent the evolution of women’s boxing, and show the world that we are just as powerful, skilled, and exciting as anyone in this sport. I’m proud, I’m grateful, and I’m ready to step onto a bigger stage and show exactly who I am.”

“Evelin, Lourdes, Irma, Mayelli, Brittany, and Roxy represent the pillars of MVP, as reigning world champions, top-ranked contenders, and next-generation stars,” said Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. “Together, these signings mark a major step forward in cementing MVP as the global home of women’s boxing. By deepening our investment in Argentina, Mexico, and the U.S., we’re not only building a roster of elite talent, but also creating the matchups fans want to see, elevating the sport on a global scale. We’re proud to provide these athletes the platform, visibility, and opportunities they deserve and look forward to their promotional debuts soon, beginning with Lourdes Juarez on our quadruple championship main card at MVPW-03 on Saturday, May 30, live on ESPN from El Paso.”
