Irish Super Middleweight Prospect 

Tommy Hyde Ignites NoWhere2Hyde Promotions, “Revolution” With Third Round TKO Of Mick Hall!

April 18th, Parochial Hall, Gurranabraher, Cork, Ireland: In the ten round super middleweight main event of NoWhere2Hyde Promotions, “Revolution” fight card streamed live on trillertv.com, Cork, Irelands own Tommy “The Governor” Hyde stopped Preston, Lancashire, UK’s, Mick “The Hammer” Hall in three rounds.

 

The 6’4” Hyde put on a calculated masterclass against tough Englishman Mick “The Hammer” Hall. “The Governor” started patiently, using his height and reach to find his range in the second round and exploding in the third with a crisp right uppercut sending 6’-foot Hall crashing down into the ropes. The brave Brit beat the count but was clearly unfit to continue, prompting the referee to wave the contest over at 2:54 of round three. Hyde stays unbeaten at 15-0, 10Ko’s as Hall stopped in consecutive bouts falls to 15-4, 2Ko’s.

 

In a scheduled four-rounder, Cork, highly-touted welterweight, Ryan McCarthy made his successful pro-debut out pointing Sao Paulo, Brazil’s, veteran Wendall “Para” Da Costa Santos over four.

 

The former 2023 Irish Elite National Amateur Champion McCarthy, in charge from the opening sound dropped Santos for a flash knockdown in round one, dictated the pace throughout drawing Santo point deduction for persistent holding out classing and out boxing rugged veteran the rugged veteran to a commanding referee scored 40-34 points win. McCarthy kicks off 1-0 as Santos with back-to-back losses falls to 3-8-4.

 

In a record padding, four round light heavyweight bout, Cork’s, Brian “Bone Breaker” Long opened the professional portion of the pro/am card with a dominant points win victory over London “mark” Ife Jarrett.

 

Long controlled the action from start to finish, pressuring relentlessly and nearly securing a late stoppage with rapid volume punching in rounds three and four only see the durable Londoner survived the heavy fire to a referee Lee Murtagh scored 40-36 points win. Long strings it along to 4-0, 2Ko’s as Jarrett still in search of his first pro victory sinks to 0-14-1.

The Parochial Hall was packed with vocal Cork supporters who created an unforgettable atmosphere for what proved to be a successful homecoming show for NoWhere2Hyde Promotions.
