ProBoxTV Contender Collision:

Unbeaten Erdenebat vs Battle-Tested Breedy May 1st!

(April 16th) ProBox TV continues to double down on its contender-driven programming with a May 1 installment of “The Contender Series,” headlined by an intriguing 10-round junior lightweight clash between Mongolia’s unbeaten Tsendbaatar Erdenebat and Barbados-born veteran Cobia Breedy at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland. Streaming globally on ProBox TV, the card reflects the platform’s continued emphasis on matching emerging contenders with seasoned opposition in meaningful developmental bouts.

Erdenebat (14-0, 6 KOs), a 2016 Olympian, enters as the ascending side of the matchup. Now based in Los Angeles, the southpaw has steadily transitioned from amateur pedigree to professional consistency since turning over in 2018. His most recent outing—a unanimous decision over Abraham Montoya—highlighted a more assertive offensive approach layered onto his technical base. While not known as a one-punch finisher, his ring IQ, punch selection, and ability to control tempo have made him a difficult puzzle at 130 pounds. At 29, this bout represents a key inflection point as he edges toward fringe contender status.

Breedy (18-1, 8 KOs), by contrast, brings experience, durability, and recent momentum. The 34-year-old, who fights out of Largo, Maryland, rebounded from his lone professional defeat with three consecutive stoppage victories, including a third-round finish of Dexter Marques in October. A former FEACARBOX Silver titleholder, Breedy has built his reputation on physical strength and measured aggression, and his current run suggests renewed form after a period of inactivity. His familiarity with higher-level opposition could test whether Erdenebat is ready for the next tier.

The stylistic dynamic adds further intrigue. Erdenebat’s southpaw positioning and technical discipline will likely be tasked with neutralizing Breedy’s forward pressure and improved finishing instincts. For Breedy, closing distance and forcing exchanges will be essential against a fighter who prefers to dictate range and rhythm. The matchup, while not featuring a title on the line, carries clear implications for both men’s positioning within the junior lightweight landscape.

The undercard reinforces the developmental theme. Unbeaten prospect Francois Scarboro Jr. (13-0, 9 KOs) meets Mexico’s Maxwell Montes (13-4-1, 7 KOs) in an eight-round junior lightweight co-feature, with Scarboro coming off a decision win over Brandon Valdes. Meanwhile, welterweight prospect Travon Marshall (13-1, 10 KOs) faces Jose Luis Sanchez (14-6-2, 4 KOs) in another eight-round contest, offering Marshall a platform to reassert momentum.

The event is promoted by NoXcuse Promotions, led by Lamont Roach Jr. and veteran trainer Lamont Roach Sr., whose regional promotional efforts have increasingly aligned with ProBox TV’s broader strategy. Together, they aim to blend local talent pipelines with internationally relevant matchups.

ProBox TV is a new source of premium boxing content. We will offer live events and robust supporting content, brought to you by our founders, former champions Roy Jones Jr, Juan Manuel Marquez, Antonio Tarver and Paul Malignaggi.

Our motivation for creating ProBox TV is simple. Boxing fans have been taken for granted. They’ve been underserved regarding the quality of content. Further, the other networks involved in boxing lack a commitment to the sport, the fighters and most importantly, the fans. Real fight fans need an “all-boxing channel” fully focused on giving fans what they want.

ProBox TV will also address another critical issue that boxing fans have been forced to accept for far too long: overpriced content. At ProBox TV, we are doing away with the antiquated and expensive PPV model and offering our premium content for a nominal monthly price that is affordable for every fan in every country around the world.

What makes ProBox TV unique is our focus on supporting content, such as news, podcasts and talk shows, behind the scenes and in the gym content, ProBox TV originals documentaries.

ProBox TV Contenders Series

The Contenders Series is best characterized as good fighters in great fights. These contender level fighters will be evenly matched! That’s the most necessary component for fights to be entertaining and these fighters MUST bring the action. If the fighter is a runner, a holder, or a low-volume puncher, he is not welcome at ProBox TV. We are very confident that real boxing fans who crave evenly matched action fights will love this series.

ProBox TV Future Stars Series

The Future Stars Series is about following the journey of top amateur fighters who’ve recently turned pro. Will they fulfill their promise and potential, or will they crash and burn? Our founders have taken that journey and now they want to bring the fans along for the ride. Real boxing fans will genuinely appreciate the Future Stars series. Not only will you get the live fights but you’ll get behind-the-scenes docu-reality content as these young men go through the trials and tribulations of the journey.

ProBox TV Last Chance Tournament

Our Last Chance Tournament will start with 8 fighters from around the world. All were chosen based on a criteria of having had top amateur careers and had turned pro with expectations they would become a champion. Then they hit some bumps along the way, had some disappointing performances and boxing can be cruel if you take a couple of losses. All of these fighters are solid professional fighters and we thought it would be fun to give them a last chance, perhaps Roy, Antonio, Juan and Pauli can help them figure out where they went wrong and get them back on track. The winner of the tournament will get that last chance to achieve their dreams of becoming a champion.

Note they were also chosen along the lines of the contender’s series, they are evenly matched and they are all action fighters. This should make for a great tournament shown on our live events.
