(June 1st) It has finally been confirmed that the highly anticipated Light Heavyweight fight between the WBC and IBO World Champion, Dmitry Bivol and the current IBF/WBC/WBO world champion Arthur Beterbiev will take place in the near future after the original May 18th date having been postponed due to injuries will finally square off October 12th to kick off Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia.

The highly-anticipated, World Light Heavyweight fight between IBO and IBF Champion Dmitry Bivol and IBF/WBC/WBO Belt holder Artur Beterbiev has finally been given the new date of October 12th.

Originally originally set as the co-feature to Fury vs Usyk, May 18th Beterbiev suffering a training camp knee injury the fight was subsequently postponed.

While Beterbiev under-going surgery and receiving physical therapy treatment, Bivol in the opposite corner stayed busy last night outclassing and stopping previously beaten Libyan unbeaten Malik Zinad, 22-1, 16Ko’s in six rounds.

Following the fight, Turki Al-Sheikh, chair of General Authority for Entertainment in Saudi Arabia, entered the ring and confirmed the long-awaited match is back on the schedule set October 12 with the 33-year-old, Bivol now 23-0, 12Ko’s and the 39-year-old, Beterbiev perfect at 20-0, 20Ko’s finally colliding to kick off Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia.
