No Limit Boxing Returns To Newcastle For “Tszyucastle”

Nikita "The Butcher" Tszyu Headlines May 6th

Against Undefeated Oscar "El Toro" Diaz!

(April 8th) No Limit Boxing Promotions is set to ignite the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, as the Tszyu legacy returns to the ring.

Headlining the night is unbeaten super welterweight Nikita “The Butcher” Tszyu (11‑0, 9 KOs), who will face undefeated Spanish contender Oscar “El Toro” Diaz (16‑0) for the WBO International Super Welterweight Title in a pivotal 10-round clash at 154 lbs.

Tszyu, the son of boxing legend Kostya Tszyu and younger brother of former world champion Tim Tszyu, brings a career marked by pressure, devastating body work, and knockout power. Newcastle has long been a stronghold for the Tszyu family, who collectively hold a 13‑0 record in the city, and Nikita has previously captured the Australian title there with a rallying KO over Dylan Biggs. However, momentum stalled earlier this year when his January contest with Michael Zerafa ended in a controversial no-contest due to an accidental clash of heads, leaving fans and the fighter himself eager for redemption.

Diaz, ranked #15 by the WBO, steps into unfamiliar territory for his first fight outside Spain. The Andalusian contender is technically sharp and durable, boasting 16 consecutive wins but a modest knockout rate, making this a true test of endurance and international caliber against a homegrown world-ranked rival. A victory for either fighter carries tangible implications: Tszyu aims to cement his place among the super welterweight elite and set up a potential world title eliminator, while Diaz seeks to establish himself on the global stage.

No Limit Boxing has assembled an undercard rich with talent and stakes. Jack Bowen faces Tonga Tongotongo for the WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Title in a clash that could define regional rankings. Australian Olympian Callum Peters returns at middleweight, showcasing his disciplined technique against an opponent to be named. Rahim “CJ” Mundine, continuing the legacy of the famed Mundine family, takes on Lance McDonald in a test of skill and maturity. The card also features rising local prospects Brandon Grach, Brent Walton, Wayne Telepe, Kyron Dryden and lightweight duo Jayden Vasica vs. Benjamin Amos, all adding depth, drama, and future storylines to the event.

“This return is about redemption and focus,” said Tszyu. “Newcastle has always been special for our family — the crowd, the energy, the atmosphere — it feels like home. I can’t wait to get back in that ring.”

Fans can expect high-output action, technical matchups, and the signature Newcastle crowd energy that has defined the Tszyu legacy. Preliminaries begin at 5:00 PM AEST, with the main event slated for approximately 10:00 PM AEST. The night will be broadcast live on MAIN EVENT and Kayo Sports in Australia, with international broadcast details forthcoming.
