Top Rank and DAZN Reach
Multi‑Year Global Broadcast Partnership?
(March 16th) Breaking: Preliminary reports and locker room stir indicate that in what would be a great deal for BOXING, Top Rank and DAZN have reached a broadcast deal. Official confirmation from both parties is still pending.
Industry sources indicate Top Rank, one of the world’s premier boxing promotional companies, and DAZN, the global sports entertainment platform, are set to officially announce a multi-year broadcast and streaming agreement that will bring Top Rank’s world-class boxing events to DAZN subscribers worldwide.
The partnership ends an eight-month period in which Top Rank operated without a major broadcast home following the conclusion of its long-running deal with ESPN in July 2025. It also solidifies DAZN’s position as the closest thing to a centralized streaming hub in professional boxing.
Under the agreement, DAZN will broadcast 8–10 Top Rank events annually, featuring many of the sport’s most accomplished champions and rising stars. Reported license fees for these events range from $1 million to $1.25 million per show, according to industry sources.
Reports have Top Rank President Todd duBoef and DAZN CEO Shay Segev had been in extended negotiations since ESPN’s departure, with the deal rumored within the industry since 2024. During the interim, Top Rank maintained visibility through its FAST channel, Top Rank Classics, on Tubi, Pluto TV, and Roku. While the channel kept fighters in front of fans, the arrangement was never intended as a long-term model for the company, which had previously earned north of $80 million annually from ESPN.
The need for a new broadcast home became official on July 26, 2025, when Xander Zayas defeated Jorge Garcia to claim the WBO junior middleweight title at Madison Square Garden Theater, marking the final Top Rank card aired under the ESPN partnership. Subsequent high-profile bouts, including Zayas’ unification fight with Abass Baraou on January 31, 2026, streamed on the free FAST channel, highlighting the urgency for a premium platform.
Top Rank explored deals with multiple broadcasters, including Max, Netflix, and DAZN. With DAZN’s recent revenue gains from Riyadh Season events and a newly extended partnership with Matchroom Boxing, the platform emerged as the only viable partner with the infrastructure and financial capacity to accommodate Top Rank’s full event slate.
DAZN’s Expanding Boxing Portfolio
Top Rank brings a roster of world champions that enhances DAZN’s already deep boxing lineup, which includes Matchroom Boxing, Queensberry Promotions, Golden Boy Promotions and the recently added MF Pro.
Notable Top Rank fighters include:
Naoya Inoue – # 2lb for lb, Undisputed Jr. Featherweight Champion
Xander Zayas – Unified Jr. Middleweight Champion
Teofimo Lopez – WBO Jr. Welterweight Champion
Keyshawn Davis – WBO Lightweight Champion
Emanuel Navarrete – WBO Jr. Lightweight Champion
Rafael Espinoza – Featherweight Champion
Abdullah Mason and Emiliano Vargas - TR Prospects
With this addition, DAZN now hosts four of boxing’s five largest traditional promotions, leaving Premier Boxing Champions (Al Haymon) as the primary holdout on Amazon Prime Video.
The partnership creates unprecedented cross-promotional opportunities, allowing fighters from different promotions to meet without traditional network restrictions. While this consolidation benefits fans and fighters seeking high-level matchups, it also raises questions about market concentration and pricing, as DAZN now controls a substantial share of boxing’s live content ecosystem.
Deals of this scale typically go public once terms are finalized and all internal approvals are secured. An official announcement from Top Rank and DAZN is expected shortly via press release, social media, or corporate news channels.
Further details regarding international distribution, pay-per-view integration, and the full length of the contract will be released in upcoming announcements. For now, the agreement represents a historic turning point: the last major boxing promotion without a broadcast home has found one, while DAZN consolidates its role as the global hub for professional boxing.
