Sixth Round Scared To Outpoint Durable Creati!

Wednesday, April 24th, Hordern Pavilion, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia: In the all Sydney, New South Wales, main event of a Rose brothers, No Limit Boxing Promotion, Nikita “The Butcher” Tszyu, the son of former WBC and two-time IBF Light Welterweight Champion and Boxing Hall of Famer, Kostya “Thunder From Down Under” Tszyu successfully made the second defense of his Australian Super Welterweight title with a heavily slanted ten round unanimous decision over Danilo “Dash” Creati.

 

The 26-year-old, switch hitting, southpaw controlled the action from the opening bell, scoring with solid lefts and right hooks, credited with a chopping left glove scraping causing knockdown of Creati in round two piled on the punishment going into the sixth round, where surviving an “attention grabbing” “Dash” hard right smartly held on and returned to work landing big shots up and down pounding the durable 34 year old, Italian transplant to the final bell for a well-deserved 100-88, 99-90, 99-90 unanimous decision win.

In the twelve round, IBF Light Heavyweight Eliminator co-feature, a pairing of unbeatens, Pieta, Malta based Libyan, Malik Zinad earned a shot at the winner of Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol on June 1st with a “granite chin” majority decision points upset of Auckland, New Zealand’s, Jerome “The Panther” Pampellone.

 

The more active Zinad patiently batting through some rugged chin checking middle rounds remained unyielding pushing the action repeatedly answering “The Panther’s” best shots convincing two of the three judges for a hard fought 114-114, 117-111 times two majority decision win. Zinad improves to 22-0, 16Ko’s while Pampellone suffering his first loss dips to 18-1, 11Ko’s.

 

In a battle of unbeaten’s, Narrabeen, New South Wales, Australia’s, Cesar “El Tijuanero” Tapia, fighting back in Australia for the first time since October 2022 took possession of the vacant WBO Latino Middleweight belt with a comprehensive ten round unanimous decision win over Willemstad, Curaçao based Venezuelan, Keiber Gonzalez.

 

Working a sharp jab past a second-round referee Will Soulos ruled slip “El Tijuanero” held off the rugged Venezuelan with some sharp counter punching and timely body work to a, 97-93, 98-92 times two unanimous decision win. Tapia holds onto his “zero” at 17-0, 10Ko’s while the previously unbeaten Gonzalez dips to 20-1, 17Ko’s.

 

Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina’s, Clara Lescurat retained her WBA World Super Flyweight title with a ten round unanimous decision over New South Wales, Australia based Swede, Linn Sandstrom.

 

The more focused, “getting off first”, Lescurat established her distance and pacing with an accurate jab controlled the action handcuffing the distracted appearing Swede to a one way 99-91, 97-93, 100-90 ten round unanimous decision win. Lescurat improves to 11-0, 4Ko’s while Sandstrom 1-1-1 in her last three bouts falls to 8-3-2, 2Ko’s.

 

Caboolture, Queensland’s, Benjamin “The Hype Beast” Hussain, retain his WBA Oceania Super Welterweight title pushing the action from the opening bell, losing a point straying low in round four continued to press on taking the fight to Werribee, Victoria, southpaw, Mason Smith closing the scheduled ten round scrap with a volley unanswered punch forcing referee Brad Vocale to call it just short of the final bell. Hussain unbeaten since a September 2022 second round TKO loss to Lachlan Higgins moves to 11-2, 7Ko’s as 1-1-1 in his last three fights drops to 9-2-1, 3Ko’s.

 

In six round female super flyweight action, Gold Coast, Queensland’s, Jasmine Parr stayed unbeaten with a fifth round TKO stoppage of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory’s, Sarah Watt. Parr the 21-year-old, daughter of combat sports legend John Wayne Parr flooring the 38-year-old, Watt with a hard right in round two continued the pressure piling on the punishment forcing referee Les Fear to end the one-sided bout in round five. Recording her first stoppage win Parr moves to 5-0, 1Ko as Watt 1-31 in her last five falls to 4-6-2, 1Ko.

 

Campbelltown, New South Wales, super bantamweight, Shanell Dargan squeezed out a tightly contested six round 57-57, 58-56 times two majority decision win over Nelson, New Zealand’s, Christine Gillespie. Unbeaten in her previous four Dargan moves to 4-1-2 as Gillespie remains winless at 0-1-1.

           

In a scheduled six round cruiserweight pairing, Auckland, New Zealand, 26-year-old, former amateur standout, Andrei Mikhailovich, stayed unbeaten stopping Broadbeach, Queensland’s, 41-year-old, journeyman, Les “Lock & Load” Sherrington with a drilling body shot in round one. Mikhailovich climbs to 21-0, 13Ko’s as Sherrington stopped in four of his last five sinks to 39-18, 23Ko’s.

 

Earlwood, New South Wales, Australia, 18-year-old, lightweight, Charlie Kazzi padded his record with an ordinary 49-46, 50-45 times two five round points win over Papua New Guinea, “mark” Joe “Bullet” Kara. Kazzi stays unbeaten at 5-0 while the quickly declining Kara winless in his last five sinks to full opponent status at 5-6-1, 5Ko’s.
