Sampson Boxing Signs Red Hot Middleweight
Vito Mielnicki Jr. To Exclusive Promotional Contract!
(December 30th) Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing proudly announces the signing of WBO #5- and WBC #11-ranked middleweight Vito “White Magic” Mielnicki Jr. to an exclusive promotional contract.
23-year-old Mielnicki (22-1, 13 KOs), from Roseland, New Jersey, started boxing at age seven and went on to compile an amateur career record of 147-22 on his way to becoming a four-time Junior National Golden Gloves champion in addition to competing internationally and winning countless other national championships, including the 2017 USA Junior National Championships. Mielnicki was also on the USA High Performance Team.
An entertaining fighter with matinee idol looks, Mielnicki turned professional in 2019 and has fought his way to several regional titles and been impressive in numerous nationally televised appearances in supporting bouts of PPV broadcasts.
Mielnicki made two ring appearances this year. In June, in front of his hometown New Jersey fans, Mielnicki scored a unanimous 10-round unanimous decision over Kamil Gardzielik (then 19-0) to win the IBF USBA, IBO Americas and WBC USA Middleweight Championships. And in his most recent ring appearance, Mielnicki stopped Samuel Nmomah (then 21-0) in nine rounds at ANB Arena in Riyadh, to win the WBO Global Middleweight Championship in November.
“I’m looking forward to having Sampson elevate my career to the world championship level, like he’s done with so many other fighters,” said Mielnicki Jr. “We’re looking to build in Atlantic City in my next three fights. I’m excited to bring big-time boxing back to New Jersey and have Sampson take my career to the next level.”
“I’ve known Vito since his pro debut and my relationship with him and his father, Vito Sr., has been pure friendship,” added Sampson Lewkowicz. “Signing this agreement will be a new sunrise for Vito Mielnicki’s career in 2026, starting in April in Atlantic City.”
Details on Mielnicki’s April Sampson Boxing debut will be announced shortly.
Sampson Boxing is the promotional and management company run by veteran Uruguayan boxing powerbroker Sampson Lewkowicz, known for discovering and guiding a long list of world champions and elite contenders.
Sampson Boxing is a boxing promotional and advisory outfit headed by Uruguayan-born promoter Sampson Lewkowicz, who operates globally but is especially active in the Americas.
The company focuses on scouting, signing, and maneuvering fighters into title opportunities, often taking on talents from Latin America and turning them into mainstream attractions.
Lewkowicz has been central in the careers of David Benavidez, Sebastian Fundora, and Gabriela Fundora, all of whom have held WBC world titles in recent years under his guidance.
His historic client list also includes Sergio “Maravilla” Martínez, Jayson “Banana” Rosario, Javier Fortuna, John Riel Casimero, Manny Pacquiao (in a key advisory role early on), Sultan Ibragimov, Celestino Caballero, Anselmo Moreno, Michael Katsidis, and others.
Sampson Boxing remains active at the world level, with Lewkowicz currently promoting or advising David Benavidez and the Fundora siblings in major events, as well as working with fighters tied into the modern Saudi/Riyadh schedule.
As of late 2025, middleweight contender Vito Mielnicki Jr. signed with Sampson Lewkowicz, with plans to build him in Atlantic City and re-establish big-time cards in New Jersey and the Northeast.
Lewkowicz is widely regarded as a talent scout with an eye for under-the-radar prospects, particularly from Argentina, Panama, the Dominican Republic, and other non-U.S. markets, turning them into world-level operators.
He has a reputation for being hands-on with matchmaking and for intervening on safety grounds when necessary, such as canceling an Edwin De Los Santos bout over weight/health concerns, which boosted his image as an ethical promoter.
Sampson has been honored by the Buenos Aires legislature for his contribution to Argentine and world boxing, reflecting his role in elevating multiple Argentine champions.
In 2024 he was inducted into the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame, cementing his status as a significant modern-era promoter in the U.S. fight scene.
