Tim Tszyu Returns Home

To Face Undefeated Denis Nurja

In “The Rise” – Easter Sunday, April 5 In Wollongong!

(March 10th) Australian boxing star Tim Tszyu will look to continue his resurgence when he faces undefeated Albanian contender Denis Nurja for the vacant WBO International Middleweight Championship on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 at the WIN Entertainment Centre.

The event, titled “The Rise,” is promoted by No Limit Boxing and led by promoters Trent Rose, George Rose, and Matt Rose. The card will be sanctioned by the Combat Sports Authority of New South Wales and broadcast worldwide on Amazon Prime Video, Kayo Sports, Fox Sports Australia, and Main Event.

The 10-round middleweight clash represents a crucial step for Tszyu (26-3, 18 KOs), who continues rebuilding his world title ambitions in front of a passionate Australian fanbase. Standing in his way is Nurja (20-0, 9 KOs), a determined and technically skilled fighter who brings an undefeated record into the biggest fight of his career.

“This is the type of challenge that motivates me,” said Tszyu. “I’m fighting at home, in front of Australian fans, and I’m focused on making a statement.”

Nurja, who has compiled an impressive undefeated record in Europe, sees the fight as his opportunity to break into the elite level of the middleweight division.

“Tszyu is a great fighter and a big name,” said Nurja. “But I’m coming to Australia to prove I belong among the best.”

The bout will be supervised by Danny Leigh for the WBO International title.

In a major co-feature, Australian standout Sam Goodman (21-1, 8 KOs) meets Argentina’s Rodrigo Fabian Ruiz (23-1, 16 KOs) in a 12-round super bantamweight showdown.
