Stevenson Reigns Supreme With "Tour De Force"
Fourth Division “Take-Over”!

Saturday, January 31st, Madison Square Garden, New York, New York: In the main event of The Ring VI bill streamed live on DAZN, Houston, Texas, based Brick City, New Jersey transplant, Shakur Stevenson moved up to claim the WBO World Super Lightweight title with a masterclass twelve round unanimous decision over Las Vegas, Nevada based Brooklynite, Teofimo “Takeover” Lopez.
Stevenson a southpaw, working a relentless, precision jab, a tight guard and cute angles immediately neutralized “The Takeover” controlling the spacing with superior footwork frustrating and outclassing the champion opening a cut over his left eye in round six.
Lopez finding brief moments of success in the middle rounds only to again quickly fall target to well-timed counter-shots and precision punching through the late and championship frames leaving Stevenson a "tour de force" 119-109 times three unanimous decision win. The four-division world champion Stevenson climbs to 25-0, 12Ko’s while Lopez with just his second defeat slips to 22-2, 13Ko’s.
In a highly anticipated super lightweight match Norfolk, Virginia’s, Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis recorded a twelfth and final round stoppage of Worcester, Massachusetts, Jamaine “The Technician” Ortiz.
Davis meticulously dominated the action with superior jab control and clean body punching through-out, flooring Ortiz with a left hook to the body in round eleven and again in round twelve prompting referee Thomas Taylor to wave it over at 2:47 of the final round. Davis improves to 14-0, 10Ko’s. Ortiz now with losses to Vasyl Lomachenko, Teofimo Lopez and “The Businessman” falls to 20-3-1, 10Ko’s.
Brooklyn, New York’s, Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington claimed the vacant WBC World Featherweight title a definitive ninth-round knockout victory over Fullerton, California, Carlos Castro. The 28-year-old, New Yorker showcased his superior speed and technical precision, from the start control the spacing and tempo with an accurate jab, precision counter-punching and clean body work, turning the tide rocking the 31-year-old, veteran with a hard right hand in round four.

Returning from nearly a year and a half self-inflicted absence North Bellmore, New York, Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller used his size, pressure and experience to secure a Miller secured a dominant unanimous decision victory over Phoenix, Arizona, based Nigerian, Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh.

Stepping up in weight the last-minute sub, Star Boxing's, Toussaint met Williams with some mobile active counter punching “Haitian Fire” leading to some early competitive back and forth interrupted by a “Ammo” Williams, uppercut flooring the game New Yorker and turning the flow of the fight in round four. Williams staying defensively sound working behind his jab and solid body work took and maintained control to the final bell and a 98-91, 99-90 times two ten round unanimous decision win. Williams moves to 20-1, 13Ko’s as Toussaint with the late effort drops to17-4, 7Ko’s.
In a significant upset, Miami, Florida, super lightweight, Kevin Castillo picked himself up from a round one knockdown and box his way to an eight-round unanimous decision over Los Angeles, California based Saudi, Ziyad “Zizo” Almaayouf.
The 25-year-old underdog Castillo down from a Almaayouf right to the head in round one quickly recovered and began to dominate with relentless pressure, heavy body work and the cleaner harder shots holding off “Zizo” for a well deserved 78-73, 77-74 times two unanimous decision win. Castillo 0-2-1 in his previous three bouts rights the ship at 6-2-1. Almaayouf with the surprise loss slips to 7-1-1, 1Ko.
