Uprising Promotions Announces

'Rumble On The River'

At Seaport Pier 16 On May 30th!

(March 3rd) Uprising Promotions will bring its next live boxing event to one of New York City’s most iconic outdoor venues, announcing "Rumble on the River" at Seaport Pier 16 on Saturday, May 30th. Once again, the event proudly partners with Bigvision Community, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting young adults in recovery from substance abuse.

“We built Uprising Promotions on the belief that boxing can be a force for good,” said Ronson Frank, President of Uprising Promotions. “Rumble on the River is another chance to prove that with great fights, a great cause, and a night that means something beyond the final bell.”

Presented by Uprising Promotions in association with HIIT the Deck Boxing Gym, Rumble on the River will spotlight a lineup of talented New York-based fighters competing in amateur bouts. The full card will be announced in the coming weeks.

Businesses interested in supporting this community event can contact Uprising Promotions to learn more about sponsorship opportunities.

“Taking this event to the waterfront felt like a natural next step for us. Seaport Pier 16 is one of those settings that just elevates everything around it, and we want our fighters and our fans to experience something they have never seen from us before,” said Frank. “New York City has shown up for us every single time, and we do not take that for granted,” Frank added. “On May 30th, we have a chance to give something back — to our fighters, to our fans, and to the community. That is what keeps us going.”

Any amateur fighters interested in competing on the card should click above and email ronsonfrankboxing@gmail.com.

Tickets are on sale now starting at $75 for general admission, with ringside seats, VIP seating and limited VIP tables also available. Charitable donations can also be made directly to support the event and its cause. Doors open at 6 PM, with the first bell at 7 PM. Tickets and donation opportunities are available now.

Rumble on the River is supported by Seaport Museum, Hendrick’s Gin, Once Upon A Coconut and Paper Planes Apparel.

Uprising Promotions, based in New York City was founded in 2013 by former professional boxer Ronson Frank, who retired as an undefeated light heavyweight following a 17-fight career. Frank comes from a high-pedigree boxing family and has been surrounded by the sport since he was a young child. His brother, Raul, fought the late Vernon Forrest on two occasions for the IBF welterweight title, and his brother, Steven, challenged Bernard Hopkins for the IBF belt when Hopkins was amid his legendary middleweight championship run.

Throughout its more than a decade in the business, Uprising Promotions has hosted a consistent schedule of sellout shows in its home base of New York City. Additionally, the company has routinely co-promoted cards that take place throughout the United States and all over the globe. From a broadcast perspective, Uprising Promotions has co-promoted cards on major television networks such as Showtime, and it has independently managed international pay-per-view events in the United States and Jamaica. At the core of the success for its events and programming has been the exceptional matchmaking of Ronson Frank.

Awarded as the Rising Promotion of the Year by RING8 in 2016, Uprising Promotions has seen continual growth and development since its foundation. With Ronson Frank being a former professional fighter who grew up surrounded by boxing, he brings a unique and distinct perspective as a promoter that enables him to view the sport from virtually every angle. That level of experience is the reason why Uprising Promotions has withstood the difficult navigation of professional boxing, even during a global pandemic.

After a brief hiatus, Uprising Promotions returned in 2025 with renewed momentum, delivering an electric night of boxing and entertainment before a sold-out crowd at the iconic Léman Ballroom in New York City. The card was headlined by former NBA Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams, who stepped into the ring for his amateur boxing debut and earned a hard-fought victory over a determined Sam Khatib. The event also carried a deeper purpose, raising support and awareness for Bigvision Community, a nonprofit dedicated to helping young adults in recovery from substance abuse.

Building on that momentum, Uprising Promotions returned to Lower Manhattan in early 2026 with Frozen Fury, once again packing the Léman Ballroom and recreating the same high-energy, fight-night atmosphere. This event also benefited Bigvision Community, underscoring Uprising Promotions’ ongoing commitment to pairing entertainment with meaningful community impact, proving our shows are about more than just the fights. They are about fighting for a cause.
