Romeo, Tissera & Dargan

Claim Gold On Thrilling “No Mercy VII” Card!

(February 26th) In the ten round main event of a Wanderer Promotions' "No Mercy VII" card, streamed live for free on Triller-TV worldwide, New South Wales, Australia’s, Marco Romeo claimed the Australian Welterweight title with an eighth round TKO stoppage of Melbourne, Victoria’s, Jason Mallia.

The bout lived up to the pre-fight hype with some early back and forth action with Mallia leveraging his unbeaten skill and experience keeping the competitive bout tight through the first half.

Romeo the aggressor forcing the fight on the slowing champion, taking control in the second half,

landed a heavy combination dropping Mallia with a heavy combination forcing referee Les Fear to wave off the contest at the 1:37 of round eight. At 24, Romeo improves to 9-1, 5Ko’s as the 30-year-old, Mallia with his first defeat slips to 10-1, 6Ko’s.

In the co-feature, Sydney, New South Wales, Argentine-born, Emiliano Tissera claimed the vacant WBC Australasian Super Bantamweight Gold Title with an upset ten round unanimous decision win over Sydney’s, previously unbeaten, Alex Naman.

The heavier handed, former IBO Oceania-Orient and WBC Silver Australasian Champion, Naman pressuring early with an aggressive power attack would see Tissera turn the battle to a tactical affair out maneuvering and holding off his fellow of 25-year-old with superior footwork and accurate counterpunching, outworking the favored Greek to a high-level, ten round unanimous decision win. Tissera with his biggest win moves to 4-1 while Naman with his first loss dips to 9-1, 7Ko’s.

Heading the undercard, Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia’s, Shanell Dargan exploded onto the biggest stage of her career claiming the vacant IBF International Bantamweight title with a blistering secondround knockout of Slacks Creek, Queensland, veteran and former world champion Shannon “Shotgun” O’Connell.

From the opening bell, Dargan fought with composure and intent, blending disciplined pressure with sharp ring craft under her No Quarter Boxing team. She stepped in behind a crisp jab, set her feet to deliver authoritative shots, and exited cleanly after punching, refusing to be drawn into reckless exchanges. Rather than forcing the pace, she invited O’Connell forward, aiming to time the veteran’s entries and counter with heavier, more telling combinations. The more experienced, O’Connell, true to form, attempted to impose herself early by pressing into mid-range exchanges where her experience and toughness have traditionally thrived, looking to make the fight physical and test Dargan’s resolve in the pocket. The opening round played out as a calculated feel-out session, but the sharper, cleaner work came from Dargan, whose timing—more than sheer volume—began to disrupt O’Connell’s rhythm. Patiently measuring distance, she fired single hard counters and compact bursts whenever O’Connell edged inside.

In the second round, that patience paid off decisively. As “Shotgun” stepped in once more to close the gap, Dargan met her with a perfectly set power shot that instantly shifted the momentum, visibly rocking the former champion. Sensing the finish without losing her composure, Dargan advanced with controlled aggression, stacking precise combinations that left O’Connell unable to defend herself effectively. With the veteran absorbing unanswered punishment and offering little resistance, forcing referee Will Soulos to step in to halt the scheduled ten round contest, sealing a commanding second-round knockout victory for the rising contender, Dargan

The 32-year-old, Dargan winning five of her last six victories inside the distance, unbeaten since a November 2014 ten round points loss to then unbeaten Felmy Sumaehe climbs to 11-2-2, 5Ko’s. At 43, O’Connell 2-2 in her last four bouts falls to 26-9-1, 13Ko’s.
