Emanuel Navarrete vs Eduardo Nunez

All-Mexican Super Featherweight Unification

February 28th Desert Diamond Arena!

(February 13th) Mexico has long produced some of boxing’s greatest champions on February 28th in Glendale, two elite warriors collide in a unification bout that will not only reshape the 130-pound division but may define the next era of Mexican boxing excellence.

Matchroom Boxing has officially announced a blockbuster all-Mexican world title unification showdown between Emanuel Navarrete and Eduardo Nunez for Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

The highly anticipated clash will see Navarrete defend his WBO Super Featherweight World Championship against IBF Super Featherweight World Champion Nunez in a unification bout that will crown a unified king at 130 pounds. The event will stream live worldwide on DAZN.

This historic all-Mexican showdown pits two of the division’s most explosive punchers against one another in what is being billed as the battle for the “Next King of Mexico.”

Navarrete (39-2-1, 32 KOs), a three-division world champion known for his relentless pressure and unorthodox style, returns to defend his WBO crown in his first unification bout at super featherweight. The Mexican warrior has built a reputation as one of boxing’s most active and dangerous champions.

Standing opposite him is Nunez (29-1, 27 KOs), nicknamed “Sugar,” whose devastating power and clinical finishing ability have propelled him to IBF world champion status. Promoted by Matchroom Boxing, Nunez now steps into the biggest fight of his career with the opportunity to unify the division and cement his place among Mexico’s elite.

The unification bout was secured following negotiations between Matchroom Boxing and Top Rank, Navarrete’s promoter, resolving mandatory obligations and clearing the path for one of the most significant fights in the super featherweight division. With both titles on the line and national pride at stake, this fight promises fireworks from the opening bell.
