(October 23rd) In a meeting of calm and chaos, two-time heavyweight boxing world champion Anthony Joshua and UFC lightweight contender Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett came together with their performance partner Under Armour. They stepped into each other’s worlds, trading fight philosophies, tactics, and challenging their mindsets as they continue to prepare for the battles ahead.
Inspired by Under Armour’s ‘Be The Problem’ campaign, both athletes embody what it means to disrupt, dominate, and redefine the fight game. AJ, known for his hyper-focused, composed, and intense pre-fight mindset, creates problems with his explosive power and calculated timing. Paddy, by contrast, enacts a more confrontational, unsettling approach to his fights. Both are a problem for their opponents, and both rewrite the rules with their equally disruptive and elite personalities.
As part of the training session, Paddy coached AJ through the chokehold he used in his recent UFC 314 victory over Michael Chandler, while AJ shared elite-level boxing tactics to sharpen Paddy’s stand-up game.
Hosted by broadcaster David Alorka, the two also sat down for a candid conversation about mindset, motivation and what it means to be an athlete that challenges the status quo. They reflected on what it truly takes to become World Champion, a title AJ has already earned twice in his career, and one that Paddy continues to pursue. The discussion also looked ahead to the future, exploring the legacies they hope to leave behind and the goals they still aspire to achieve.
