Steven Butler Bangs Out Ramadan Hiseni In Two!

Thursday March 5th, Montreal Casino, Montreal, Quebec, Canada: In the ten round main event of a Camille Estephan - Eye of the Tiger Management promotion, Montreal super middleweight, Steven “Bang Bang” Butler delivered an emphatic hometown victory stopping Zurich’s, Switzerland’s Ramadan Hiseni in round two.

 

The 30-year-old, Butler quickly imposed his physical, heavier punching hurting Hiseni late in the opening round, sealed the outcome early in the second, first freezing the Swiss contender along the ropes with a right hand then dropping Hiseni with a heavy left hook forcing referee Gustavo Padilla to halt the contest at 1:23 of round two. Butler on a four bout Ko streak since suffering a June 2024 ninth round TKO loss to Montreal’s Patrice Volny advances to 38-5-1, 32Ko’s. The 29-year-old, Hiseni unbeaten in his previous three matches falls to 22-3-2, 8Ko’s.

 

In the ten round, junior welterweight cofeature, Montreal, Quebec, undefeated Colombian puncher, Jhon “El Tigre” Orobio retained his WBC Continental Americas title with a fifth round TKO stoppage of Caguas, Puerto Rico’s, Yomar “The Magic” Alamo.

 

The 22-year-old, Orobio controlled the bout with sharp pressure and disciplined shot selection, steadily breaking down his 31-year-old foe, breaking him down with sustained aggression and superior power closing the show dropping Alamo with a well-timed overhand right forcing

referee Steve St Germain to step in and stop the one-sided action at 0:45 of round five. Running his KO run to four, Orobio stays unbeaten at 17-0, 15Ko’s, Alamo on a four-bout skid drops to 22-6-1, 13Ko’s.

 

Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, France based Cuban light heavyweight, Lenar Pérez captured the WBC Continental Americas Cruiserweight title with a commanding ten round unanimousdecision victory over seasoned MalawianSouth African veteran, Isaac “Golden Boy” Chilemba.

 

Controlling the action with steady pressure, sharper output, and the physically imposing style that has defined his early run under Eye of the Tiger Management the 28-year-old, International Boxing Association IBA Pro Intercontinental Cruiserweight champion, Perez using his height and reach advantage to choked 37-year-old’s, aggression, penetrating his Tony Bellew, Eleider Alvarez, Sergey Kovalev, Oleksandr Gvozdyk, Maxim Vlasov and Dmitrii Bivol battle tested defense with an accurate, busy jab, clean body work and combination punching boxing his way to a clean 100-90 times three unanimous decision win. Perez stays unbeaten at18-0, 14Ko’s while Chilemba 1-4 in his last four bouts falls to 27-11-3, 11Ko’s.

 

Montreal, Quebec, prospect, Moreno “The Soldier” Fendero claimed the vacant WBC Continental Americas Super Middleweight title with a disciplined ten-round unanimous decision over Aurora, Colorado, veteran, Shawn “The Amazing” McCalman.

 

The 26-year-old southpaw, Fendero controlled the tempo with crisp fundamentals, deliberate pressure and a steady round-to-round work rate highlighted by a busy jab and cleaner combinations keeping the aggressive the 32-year-old McCalman on the end of his shots putting together a clean, workman like 98–92, 96–94 times two unanimous decision win. Fendero improves to 14-0, 10Ko’s. McCalman with just his second professional defeat falls to 17-2, 8Ko’s.

 

In a scheduled ten-round super lightweight contest, Calgary, Alberta, veteran Steve “The Dragon” Claggett delivered a quick and emphatic performance with a second round TKO stoppage of Nayarit, Mexico’s, Alejandro “La Ranita” Rodríguez.

 

Claggett imposed his trademark pressure from the opening bell flooring “La Ranita” with a powerful left hook forcing the referee to put a stop to the bout at 2:13 of round two. Claggett with consecutive TKO wins since a June 2024 twelve round points loss to “the Takeover” Teofimo Lopez moves to 40-8-2, 28Ko’s. Rodríguez two bout knockout streak closes at 21-13-2, 12Ko’s.

 

Quebec, Canadian lightweight, Daylen Pepin recorded his second pro victory with a four-round unanimous decision victory over El Bosque, Chile’s, Felipe “Artillero” Bocaz. Pepin controlled the tempo with steady boxing and cleaner punches over the short distance, earning a clear verdict after four rounds. Pepin moves to 2-0 as a professional, while Bocaz evens up at 3-3, 1Ko.

 

In a four-round super welterweight bout, Longueuil, Quebec’s, Dante Tice Oliveira scored a fourth-round technical knockout over Karvina, Czechia’s, Patrik Velky. Tice the aggressor from the start gradually broke Velky down before forcing the stoppage with clean body shots at 2:28 of round four.

Tice Oliveira with back-to-back stoppage wins moves to 3-0, 2Ko’s. Velky 1-2-1 in his last four appearances drops to 2-5-1, 1Ko.
