Ready To Challenge Cletus Seldin

For WBA Interim World Title On December 13th!

(December 11th) Boxlab Promotions fast-rising super lightweight contender Kevin “Alfa” Brown (8-0, 3 KOs) is preparing for the biggest moment of his professional career as he takes on knockout artist Cletus “The Hebrew Hammer” Seldin (29-1, 23 KOs) in a 12-round clash for the WBA Interim Super Lightweight World Title on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The championship bout headlines “Night of Champions XIII,” a signature event during the 104th Annual World Boxing Association (WBA) Convention, held at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, and streamed live on Boxlab Promotions’ official YouTube channel.

Brown, who is co-promoted with Warriors Boxing, spoke with laser-sharp focus on his recent training camp. “This has been the most intense and focused camp of my life. Every day, I’ve trained with the mindset that this fight could change everything. My team has pushed me beyond my limits—physically and mentally. I’m coming into this fight in the best shape I’ve ever been in, and more motivated than ever.”

On facing a battle-tested veteran like Cletus Seldin, Brown acknowledged the challenge with respect and determination. “Seldin is strong, aggressive, and experienced. He’s been in with tough guys and knows how to finish fights. But I’m not here to back down—I’m here to rise. I know what I bring to the table. This is my moment to show the world that I belong at the championship level.”

Brown reflected on the opportunity on fighting at the prestigious WBA Convention. “To compete for a world title during the WBA Convention, surrounded by legends and champions, is an incredible honor. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come—and how far I’m going. I plan to leave everything in the ring and show that I’m ready to represent the WBA with pride.”

On realizing a lifelong dream to become a world champion, Brown emphasized how close he is. “Winning this fight would mean everything. It’s not just a title—it’s proof that all the years of sacrifice, the early mornings, the setbacks, and the hard work are paying off. It puts me one step closer to becoming a world champion. This is more than a fight…it’s a turning point in my life.”

Amaury Piedra, President of Boxlab Promotions, also spoke on Brown’s world title opportunity. “Kevin Brown is one of the most disciplined and skilled young fighters we’ve worked with. He’s got world-class talent, and this title shot is well deserved. Fans watching at the WBA Convention and around the world are going to see just how special this kid is. We believe Kevin is the future of the super lightweight division, and this is his moment to shine.”

Boxlab Promotions’ super welterweight contender, Yoenis “El Bandolero” Tellez (10-1, 7 KOs), currently ranked WBA #4, is locked in and ready to return to the ring with a statement performance against battle-tested veteran Kendo Castaneda (21-12, 9 KOs).

Tellez, a contender with explosive power and Cuban pedigree, is eager to get back in the win column after suffering the first loss of his professional career—a moment he says has only fueled his motivation. “This camp has been about growth and focus,” said Tellez, who is co-promoted with Warriors Boxing. “After the loss, I went straight back to work with my team. We studied, we sharpened, and we pushed harder than ever. I’ve turned the setback into fuel. This version of me is smarter, hungrier, and more dangerous.”

Tellez made it clear he’s not overlooking the veteran, Kendo Castaneda. “Kendo is experienced and unpredictable. He’s fought a lot of good fighters, and I’m taking this fight very seriously. But I’m coming in with a chip on my shoulder. This fight is about proving to myself—and to everyone else—that I’m still one of the best young fighters in this division. A win here puts me right back on track. It’s not just about numbers or rankings—it’s about momentum, confidence, and showing that one loss doesn’t define me. I’m here to take back control of my career, not retreat.”

Tellez expressed his pride and motivation on the opportunity to fight during the 104th WBA Convention. “It’s an honor to be part of such a major event in boxing,” Tellez concluded. “Fighting at the WBA Convention, with legends and champions in the building—it adds extra motivation. I want everyone watching to see that I belong on this stage and in this sport’s future.”
