 Dave Allen vs. Arslanbek Makhmudov

Heavyweight Clash October 11th!

(August 7th) Dave Allen’s monumental Heavyweight crunch with danger man Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday, October 11 and Eddie Hearn is urging fight fans to snap them up quick.

The Matchroom Sport chairman is expecting a jam-packed Utilita Arena in Sheffield after announcing the next phase of huge undercard additions to the blockbuster card – with more big names still to follow.

British heavyweight Dave Allen faces off against dangerous Russian contender Arslanbek Makhmudov on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Utilita Arena Sheffield. This high-stakes bout is expected to be a pivotal moment for both fighters as they look to cement themselves in the upper echelon of the heavyweight division.

Known as “The White Rhino,” Allen (24-7-2, 19 KOs) returns to his hometown arena, hungry for another statement win after a string of crowd-pleasing performances. Allen’s determination and unorthodox style make him a formidable opponent for any heavyweight in the world. “I make people miss, and I can punch. If you get close to me, I can belt you from four inches away,” Allen recently told reporters, expressing confidence ahead of this monumental challenge.

On the other side of the ring, Arslanbek “The Lion” Makhmudov (20-2, 19 KOs) brings extraordinary punching power and international experience. The once-feared knockout artist is looking to prove critics wrong after setbacks and aim for a new title run, making this a crucial fight for his future prospects.

This WBA International heavyweight clash is promoted by Matchroom Boxing and will be streamed live worldwide on DAZN. Tickets for the event are available through the Utilita Arena Sheffield box office.

Boxing pundits are already labeling the bout a classic “styles make fights” showdown—with Allen’s counter-punching and inside work tested against Makhmudov’s raw power and pressure. The winner will be on the cusp of major opportunities in the division.

Mark your calendars for October 11, 2025 – Sheffield will witness heavyweight fireworks as Dave Allen and Arslanbek Makhmudov put it all on the line!

The eagerly awaited rematch between rivals Junaid Bostan and Bilal Fawaz is now confirmed with the vacant English Super Welterweight Championship on the line – broadcast live worldwide on the home of Boxing, DAZN.

Yorkshire’s own Josh Padley faces a brilliant domestic Super-Featherweight battle with Reece Bellotti, fresh from the latter's recent disappointment on the South Coast where he fell to a late,12th round stoppage by Ryan Garner.

And exciting young guns Hamza Uddin, Ibraheem 'Spider' Sulaimaan, Conner Tudsbury and Joe Howarth are all announced for the bumper fight night.

Matchroom Sport chairman Eddie Hearn

"This is a stacked card with a thrilling main event – and more to come yet. I’m expecting a packed house in Sheffield for this one. Matchroom Fight Pass members can grab their tickets this Thursday with General Sale at 2pm (UK time) on Friday. Do not miss out!"

Junaid Bostan

"October 11, I go from a boy to a man and I’m grateful it’ll be done in front of a home audience at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena. My back is against the wall but it is moments like this is what I live for and I cannot wait."

Josh Padley

"I’m really looking forward to this one and I’m grateful to Eddie and everyone at Matchroom for making it happen. The Utilita Arena in Sheffield is as good as it gets for a fight on home soil for me – and I can guarantee it will be absolutely rocking. I respect Reece and I know he will be keen to bounce back after his recent defeat. But believe me I am ready to make a proper statement at Super Featherweight, so this really is the perfect fight for me.”

Reece Bellotti

"Genuinely buzzing to be out so quick after my last defeat. It’s good to see Matchroom Boxing are still backing me and putting me in a tough fight. It’s definitely one I’m really looking forward to against Josh Padley and one I definitely believe I can win.”

Hamza Uddin

“This will be my biggest fight to date. I’m buzzing to be fighting on this great card and I am looking forward to showing everyone why I will be a future World Champion. Sheffield, October 11, do not miss what will be a special performance from me.”

Ibraheem Sulaimaan

"October 11. Utilita Arena, Sheffield. I am coming to steal the show. This is a big night of boxing, so make sure you’re all there to witness it because it’s going to be a special one."

Conner Tudsbury

"It’s good to be back – and I’m ready to put on some fireworks. I've only scratched the surface of my potential and I'm looking forward to the journey ahead, starting in Sheffield on October 11."
