Biyarslanov Stops Mimoune

In Eye Of The Tiger Main Event!

Thursday, February 6th, Montreal Casino, Montreal, Quebec, Canada: In the ten round main event of a Camille Estephan - Eye of the Tiger (EOTTM) Promotion’s, “The Gold Rush”, Toronto, Ontario, based, Movladdin “The Wolf” Biyarslanov successfully made the third defense of his North American Boxing Federation Super Lightweight with a second round TKO stoppage of Plant City, Florida’s, Mohamed “The Problem” Mimoune.

 

The 29-year-old, Russian 2016 Olympian, Biyarslanov opened the battle of southpaws quickly taking control out working and outclassing Mimoune in round one.

 

In round two, Biyarslanov landing through and around the mostly defensive 37-year-old, Frenchman’s high guard knocked “The Problem” of balance for a referee, Alain Velleneuve scored glove touching knockdown. Jumping right back to work picking and sitting down on his shots landing again with a Villeneuve volley of unanswered punches forcing referee, Alain Velleneuve to step in and wave it done at 2:16 of round two. Biyarslanov improves to 18-0, 15Ko’s as Mimoune 2-4 in his last six bouts falls to 24-7, 5Ko’s.

 

El Vigia, Venezuela, 32-year-old, Albert Ramirez successfully made the second defense of his WBA International Light Heavyweight title stopping Marcana, Croatia’s, Marko Calic in three rounds.

 

Following a lightly competitive opening frame Ramirez, a southpaw, finding his target with long southpaw lefts in round two stalked Calic into round three cutting off the ring with winging right hooks, dropping the 37-year-old, Croatian twice forcing referee frank Gentile to call it over at 2:10 of round three. Ramirez stays unbeaten at 20-0, 17Ko’s as Calic’s four bout win streak comes to a close at 15-2, 9Ko’s.

 

In a ten round welterweight pairing Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Christopher “Machine Gun” Guerrero stopped Zurich, Switzerland’s Dennis “The Menace” Dauti in four rounds.

 

The early rounds seeing its share of banging, boxing and clinching the 23-year-old, Guerreo opened up his “machine gun” bringing the action to a close drilling the 31-year-old, “Menace” with a well-placed, left hook to the body forcing referee Albert Padulo Jr. to stop the bout at 1:08 of round four. Guerrero improves to 13-0, 8Ko’s as Dauti 1-1-2 in his last four appearances falls to 25-6-2, 9Ko’s.

 

In a scheduled ten round light heavy match, Montreal, Quebec, Canada’s Mehmet Unal patiently dissected and stopped Buenos Aires, Argentina’s, Ezequiel “El Olympico” Maderna in round three.

 

Off to a sluggish start the 32-year-old Turk found his rhythm catching his 38-year-old foe with increasingly bigger shots flooring “El Olympico” with a well-timed left near the close of round two.

 

Keeping the pressure on in round three Unal punching in combination rocked and dropped Maderna prompting referee Martin Forest to save the wavering Argentine at 1:41 of round three. With his third straight TKO victory Unal moves to 12-0, 10Ko’s while Maderna on a three-bout skid drops to 31-14, 21Ko’s.

 

Montreal, Quebec, 23-year-old, lightweight, Avery “The Future” Duval picked himself up off the deck in round two to out-point, Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France’s, 32-year-old, Keshan Jacoby Koaly over eight rounds.

 

Duval down and seeing a troubled “future” the result of a “flash” knockdown in round two regrouped behind an active accurate jab picked up the pace adding spirited right hands boxing his way to a &&-74, 78-73 times two eight round unanimous decision win. Duval’s “future looks bright at 13-0-1, 7Ko’s while Koaly unbeaten in his previous five outings slips to 6-2-1, 2Ko’s.

 

In a scheduled eight round super middleweight bout, Montreal, Quebec, Canada’s, Moreno “Soldier” Fendero stopped Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany’s, Edison Demaj in three rounds.

 

The 25-year-old Frenchman, blitzed the out-gunned Albanian, dropping him once in each of the opening three frames.

 

The first coming by way of a winging left in round one. The second compliments of a volume combination in around two and the third and final knockdown coming by way of a heavy looping right convincing referee Alain Villeneuve to save the teetering 32-year-old any more punishment at 1:36 of round three. Fendero improves to 9-0, 7Ko’s while Demaj stopped in back-to-back bouts drops to 13-4-1, 7Ko’s.
