September 15th, Dome at the Ballpark, Rosemont, Illinois: In the main attraction of a Hitz Entertainment event broadcast LIVE on the CBS Sports Network Chicago’s “Subway” Mike Lee retained his USBA Light Heavyweight title annihilating Follansbee, West Virginia’s, Aaron “Quiet Storm” Quattrocchi in one.
The Notre Dame graduate Lee taking the fight right to Quattrocchi took control of the center of the ring walking down his West Virginian foe placing him along the ropes for long right hands and left hooks, drilling the circling Quattrocchi with a drilling right to the body setting up a big counter right hand putting “Quiet Storm” on the seat of his trunks for referee eight count about the mid-point of the round.
Lee quickly resuming control returned to his long rights and hooks again tracking Quattrocchi along the ropes answering a futile “Quiet Strom” with a rapid heavy combination putting the once between, 27-year-old on the canvas for the second time.
Allowed to continue the now defenseless Quattrocchi the quick recipient of a Lee follow up would see the fight waved over when referee David Smith stepped in to wave it over at 2:32 of round one.
Lee improves to 20-0, 11ko’s while Quattrocchi stopped in back to back fights falls to 10-2-1, 5Ko’s.
