Holyfield Back November 5th in Detroit

November 5th, Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield will make that trip back to the ring this time at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The four-time world heavyweight champion now 47 years old will step in against 37 year old Buddy McGirt trained Bahamian Sherman “The Caribbean Tank” Williams. Holyfield, 43-10-2, 28Ko’s is coming in off an eighth round stoppage of South African Francois “The White Buffalo” Botha to win the vacant World Boxing Federation heavyweight title.

Williams, 34-11-2, 19Ko’s is entering winning nine of his last ten with the one loss coming in his last outing October, 2009 to still unbeaten Manuel Charr, 14-0, 7Ko’s.
